We visited Isla mujeres for 3 days as we were in Cancun for 19 days! We seen this restaurant Ballyhoo and we tried the food and drinks. Food was great , but the flan was not the authentic flan that we expect! It looks like a cheesecake and taste like a cheese cake! And has a golden price$$$! I have my own rating system. 6 stars: Presidential Service 5 stars: Top Notch Service 4 stars: It was straight 3 stars: Ok 2 stars: 😶 1 stars: I need to bypass the manager and speak to the owner. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Customer Service Attendant Alan/Alex Took care of our party. Him and had a conversation about life. Very nice humbled young man from Argentina. He made sure our cups didn't go dry. Never had to look for him. He made his rounds back and forth. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Owner daughter took care of our catch. We dropped them off as we was leaving the dock. When we got ready to go back a bad strom rolled through. They held our catch to the next evening and prepared an amazing meal for our group. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Grouper, Trigger and Snapper The chief did a great job with the different types of fish. You could taste the different flavors of the fish. Seasoned to perfection. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The restaurant is beach front. You can sit on the deck or in the sand. Met Lilly and gave Blue Ballyhoo a try. So glad we did. Hidden gem with a great view, fantastic service and wonderful food. To add an incredible sunset to cap off our dinner experience.. Delicious! While visiting, this was my favorite restaurant. We caught our fish on the Keen M Sport Fishing and then went back to enjoy our fish for dinner. Great experience! Great service! Great atmosphere! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $1–100

Truly the spot to be for fresh seafood Took the family there and 5 adults 2 kids and it was fantastic. Food was flavorful and fresh Allan the waiter from Argentina 🇦🇷 was fantastic and honest. He advised that the kids portions were big and suggested to order 1 less dish. It would be too much otherwise. Must go to if you visit Isla Mujeres it is walking distance from the ferry ride look for their fine. Fish and chips are very good. The batter is perfect, and no sauce is needed. The garlic shrimp is perfect paired with rice and steamed veggies. The shrimp skewers with bell pepper and onions good choice of veggies with the shrimp served with rice and vegetables. Amazing, quaint, restaurant right on the ocean. Everything we we’re looking for! fresh seafood right off the boat, great drinks, and great choices for those that don’t prefer seafood! The staff is extremely friendly. We loved eating here on our vacation. We went back many times during our 3 week stay on the island. Our absolute favorite restaurant…. The crew at the Blue Ballyhoo were fantastic! We fished with Keen M charters on Friday and BB prepared our catch for two afternoons in a row. Our chef Manuel and his kitchen staff go the extra mile to make your dining experience one to remember! Chef Manuel even comes to your table to discuss how you would like your meal prepared, who does that anymore? Entire staff was friendly and accommodating, this is our new go to place when we are in town!! After eating “all inclusive” food for lunch, we were hungry walking around Playa Norte and found this cute beach restaurant.
