Definitivamente regresaremos
No AC, mosquitos biting, food cold, poor customer service. In the main avenue towards Veracruz, we came across a strip of seafood restaurants at Playa Bonita. Among them we found Veramar, Korimar, and everything you can thing of ending in -mar. Yet, this are not the places where, as a foreigner, you want to eat. First, they are out in the open. We came during rainy season, early May. The tropical climate of Panama, was very wet and hot. We settle for Veramar, (Bohio La Negra, no longer exist, or at least, we could not clearly identify it). The roof was leaking but no one seem to mind. We got gnats bites all over our legs, but we pressed on, because some of the locals mentioned to us that this was a good place to eat. Yet, the service was awful. The waitress was rude and inattentive. It took them 15 minutes to take our order and 45 minutes to serve it. When the food finally got served it was cold, (d***). I ordered fish and my wife 'steak'. The fish was good even though it was cold. It could have been much better hot, but I was afraid to complain, cuz... you never know. The steak was hard and insipid. In conclusion, I'm never going back to these places. I had a very negative experience with these 'bohios' or 'ranchos'. The scenery was not the best, food had potential but not to the point of making me go back. If you have a car, you may go to the Canal Zone by Amador Avenue. There are better places to eat there and much more customer oriented restaurants. In case you ask, we were not bad customers, (I even left a tip!!!). These places are just not very welcoming to the outsider. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED.
Just ate ar Rancho Maria and we have really enjoyed it. Customer service was excellent in our case, as well as the food. Had a main course including drinks for $20/ 2 persons.
View is nice altough beaches around this area are not the most beautiful it is nice to sit and watch the sunset & the locals enjoy a beer and a swim. Would def. recommend it, especially as tourist. Try something different. :-)
Wonderful experience
First time in Panama and the food at Bohio la Negra was simply THE BEST!
Awesome food
I'm still boosting about my coconut shrimp and shrimp ceviche!!!
Excellent food and service!!
Visiting Panama again just to visit Bohio la Negra again... everyday if possible...lol
P.S.- On the beach, the beach views are awesome. The Panama Canal ships are really visible at night- beautiful!!
Recomendado 100%
