Two words to describe this: Hell Yes! Finally an actual, real bar in Orinda. Tragically hip, perhaps more so than us Orindans deserve! Tiki drinks on the menu are all great, but don’t be afraid to ask for your favorite cocktail or an off-menu specialty

An amazing hidden gem of a tiki bar. Maxton really knows his craft and I always leave with the coolest tidbits of cocktail lore. Every drink is the product of a ton of expertise and experience.

The Bay Area has another legit tropical drink establishment to join its impressive portfolio. If you are a fan of rum, quality cocktails, and/or theming/decor befitting of an amusement park, add this spot to your list.
The Zombie is as good as any I've had at the best bars in the Bay Area. Great Mai Tai and Saturn as well. The menu as of now is fairly limited, but the bartenders were happy to indulge us with an off-menu request (a Jungle Bird, which was also delicious). The staff were friendly and skilled; ownership/management are clearly all-in on doing it the right way. We'll definitely be returning soon and often.
It's a small space best suited to small groups; we were a party of five and were fortunate that we didn't need to wait for the only corner of the bar that seemed capable of accommodating that many. I suggest going as a party of 2-3 if possible. No food options. Best parking is in the garage beneath the Orinda movie theater; the bar validates parking which allows up to three hours for free. Or just take BART; it's less than five minutes walk to the Orinda station.
