Was disappointed - ordered the pancake breakfast was told it will be wait, did not realise it was a 20 minute wait. Pancakes was nice but the berry compote was more like a jam. I prefer a Latte to be served layered milk and coffee but noticed all was served as a large milky coffee. My first Bootlegger experience was mediocre. Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

I’ve been to many Bootleggers in Cape Town and I absolutely have no clue why this particular one consistently has the worst service of them all. Without fail. That is why I am writing this review, because it’s habitual and not just a once off event. Please avoid this one if possible. I ordered some avo on toast and a cappuccino and after waiting for ages, I had to check and they did not even put my order in. And this isn’t the first time it’s been this pathetic. Just close this branch or fire all the employees and get new ones, cause I have no idea why this is the only Bootleggers that sucks THIS BAD… Service Dine in Meal type Brunch Price per person R 100–150 Service: 1

This bootleggers was possibly on of the first and has stood strong for ages! It has solid coffee and great breakfast and lunch options. The decor is nice and comfortable. It does have slightly higher prices compared to other coffee shops. The service can be slow sometimes

We ordered many dessert and brunch but i could not make it to get the photos coz my friends ate them so quickly. All dishes are all tasty. But i did not enjoy coffee.

No words can describe my disappointment. I was sold the worst most stale chocolate cake today. Surprisingly it was still almost a whole cake with just one slice missing. Absolutely disappointing and not the place to go for a cheat meal. It looked fresh and delicious only to get home and find the sponge dry and stale and the icing hard. I couldn't believe my eyes I got up looked at my waitress who was standing with 2 other waitress. I wanted to pay my bill. They first finished there conversation then she didn't even say anything and got the bill. Wow shocking no customer service... Shocked I have to wait for staff to finish the conversation before I get attention. Wow customer service maybe....

I had a lovely experience at Bootleggers, The Point with the service from John making an impression with him being friendly, helpful and accommodating of my having a work meeting at the coffee shop. On this occasion, I didn't order food to be able to give feedback on the food, next time. What an nice chilled vibe, the waiter was awesome(I completely forgot to get his name) He basically gave us a run down of the different types of coffee on the menu & suggested that I try the chocolate cake,which I might add was outstanding. The hostess/manager a youngish girl who was so vibey & popped by to check to see if everything was ok. Asked what we thought of the coffee,I appreciated the fact that she took the time to ask. I will definitely frequent this spot again. The service was outstanding!!!!!
