The restaurant is good but faaaaar from being worth it the price! It’s too expensive for what it is, considering that we are speaking of Vietnam! Portions are small, restaurant identifies as French modern but you have Italian and Swiss references all over (even the Swiss flag), absolutely nothing French at all, except of the bread and the butter which indeed, seemed more French. Staff is super lovely hands down, but the food, definitely not worth USD 150 dollars for a meal for 2 without alcohol. Another thing: the only soft drinks are steal water and sparkling water: what????!!! Meet was good but super overpriced. Anyway, I think that are smarter ways for spending this amount of money. Also, we went there in early November and the restaurant is 100% on the mood of Christmas with Christmas songs all night. A bit too much. Nice place for couples. The price is little high but food is worth for it’s cost.
Fantastic, attentive service with really friendly hospitable staff. The ambience and environment were also lovely. And some of the food was *OK*, but way, WAY too expensive for the relative quality, which simply was not up to par for the price range. Spending ~$100 USD on a steak, I certainly expected something more than the undercooked, chewy, gristly slab I was served. The soft-shell crab was great, but when you're dropping $300+ USD on a meal, a good side dish is fairly scant consolation. Not a disaster, and I'll happily admit to eating what I was served. But massively underwhelming, and totally not the high-end calibre of steak restaurant that its prices might suggest. The price is easily justified by the quality and craftsmanship of the dishes. The owner is a passionate and skilled artisan of food. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person ₫500,000–600,000 Recommended dishes Beef Wagyu

We had a set menu for our visit which was a terrific experience. We were able to book ahead and order which made the night run smoothly as our food was prepped and ready by the time we arrived. The food itself was incredible! The tastes and flavours were well thought out and presented in unique ways. The Egg Carbonara was presented in a wooden plate with a coarse salt base and the egg in a nest of twigs. The staff were thoughtful and friendly which added to the fine dining atmosphere of the restaurant which I am not used to seeing in Vietnam. Botea Bistro is yet another restaurant that has made us come back to Dalat multiple times. I only wish we found it sooner as we will be back the next time we visit and hopefully we could try their regular menu as the photos look incredible. Thank you to the Botea team for adding in the little extra for my birthday dinner.
I went there around 2:10 without knowing there's break time, but they really welcomed me and my friend, and all of the staff is very kind. Foods well served, great ambience, and the burger (lunch menu) was superb, as you see in the picture. Dessert cream brulee was also really good with Da Lat strawberry. Wish I could visit again for steak next time, because this restaurant serves the best steak in town ;) Loved all! Highly recommended!
Very family & couple friendly. Cozy atmosphere and great dining experience for special occassions. Price per person ₫1,000,000+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Good steak, good vibe. Come here with my husband for dining. We have wanted to be here for quite long time. The bistro have already decorated in Christmas theme, and it’s lovely. (By the way, I’d love to listen to Christmas carols toooo) We call lots of food to try: starters: marrowbones, foie gras; salads: dalat salad, baked veggies; main: wagyu beef, 28-day-dry-aged rib eye, a glass of sauvignon, 2 glasses of mulberry juice (iced). Extra from the resto: breads with compound butter, mulberry jam yogurts. 1. Starter: - Homemade breads and butter dish is quite good - vote for butter! - The foie gras is delicious, I love the caramelized onions with balsamic vinegar, lovely dish. But the texture of it is quite crumbly. Still good though! - The marrowbones is kinda greasy to me, served with garlic bread (I think for the absorbing purpose :)). Garlic breads are good, the bones come out good with onion but under seasoned. 2. Salads: - nothing special with Dalat salad, not recommended. - baked veggies: nice smoking flavor, but we have problem with seasoning again. One side of the dish is light and the other is a bit salty. :))) how? 3. Main courses: - I order medium rare for my wagyu served with ginger, garlic, and wasabi (real wasabi, not horseradish paste!) it’s lovely. - My hubby dish is dry aged beef, he order medium rare but get a medium one due to mistaken bill in the kitchen (there are 2 dry aged dishes at the same time: 1 medium and 1 medium rare, and they mix it up). Quite dry for the medium. - side dish: potato mashed: need more butter, more salt, more pepper pls. 4. Drink: Wine: light body and easy to drink wine, have some touch of cherry or cherry oak, kinda fruity and semi dry wine, but not what I am looking for. We cannot have much choice on glass as well. I’m a wine lover before being a pregnant woman haha. Mulberry juice I have order 2 glasses: The first one is good, the 2nd one, the sugar have not yet dissolved. 5. Service: Good service overall (-): They have completely forget my pumpkin soup order and mistaken my medium rare steak. (+): so that I have yummy yoghurts in return. :D
Ok this should have been all 5 star however the only option for dinner is a "set menu" for 675k dong per person. Unfortunately this is highly misleading as the menu is "very" confusing and despite our table of 6 all querying both the staff and owner as to what was or wasn't included in the set menu our "set menu" final bill was 1,830k dong per person!! Now for the 5 star - the 1.5kg tomahawk was superbly cooked, very tender and delicious sauces. The entre are all inventive, fresh and tasty. Staff young but very friendly and trying hard. With a clearer "set menu" layout our table of 6 would have walked out very very happy instead of somewhat peeved we had been highly misled in the set menu pricing. We politely passed this feedback to owner as we left - I hope subsequent reviews will confirm he has re formatted his menu to avoid the unpleasant after taste of dining at Botea! If you're craving a great steak experience in Da lat, this is THE place. Even though lacking of competition, the place does perform beautiful service with excellent quality of ingredients. The menu was on the pricer side but what you got matched up. I had a Lunar New Year set menu. For amuse bouche, the marrow bone was only fat on top of a oily tasteless cracker. Looking great on photos though. The Rossini was beautifully executed. I'd be back to try other items on the menu.
