Good morning breakfast here on 11/14/23. Server was Ann Marie. Awesome food and service. Big soft biscuits with sausage gravy and crispy bacon. Best coffee I've had in days. Reasonable prices. Plenty of seating.

I’m docking the rating because the bathroom is in the kitchen!!! Even though the “follow the yellow brick road” may look cute, the thought of fecal particles in the air in the kitchen is disgusting. Video attached.
Also walking through the kitchen to get to the bathroom is a huge liability!

Old town favorite . If you have not tried this restaurant you have to stop in. Things are made to order. Breakfast you can get all day . Mom picked for eggs and bacon and toast . I always love the pies. The meatloaf always has great consistency, green beans and coleslaw always perfect .

Rode to Branson Cafe on Saturday and had lunch. All the food was good. Sandra's Meatloaf is awesome and her Fried Mushrooms with Homemade Cocktail Sauce was the bomb. That took me back to the Back Forty in the early 80's. Our Server Hallie was top notch as well. I wanna try their breakfast. I had the special that day. It was wonderful too. Give them a try if you want some home cooking from a kitchen that was spotless when we walked through.

Fun and Historic! Delicious homemade breakfast! Highly recommend! Food is fresh and the coffee is hot! Don’t miss the chance to go to the oldest restaurant in Branson on Main Street!

Service was absolutely atrocious. Waitstaff completely aloof. No one made eye contact. There was no wait time for seating. We waited for 30-min while seated at the table and finally flagged down someone to ask for a server to come take our order. At least 4 other tables of people w/bigger groups who came in after us were waited on before us, got their food before us, and left before us. I understand that fresh food takes at least 20-30 minutes to prepare, but it took well over an hour to receive any food. We could have waited in line at another restaurant and still got served faster than this place. Once we got a waitress, she was both polite and anxious. I was nervous about the quality of food because we complained of not being waited on and the waitresses anxiousness. The food was good, but not worth that wait. Meatloaf was closest to my own recipe that I’ve ever had and I liked it. Not a fan of the potato salad which was mushy and whipped like mashed potatoes. I do not understand why they put peas in their potato salad? Rolls were tasty but the edges were dry as if they had been sitting out for a while. My husband said that Pizza Ranch chicken was actually better than then roasted chicken he was served. What’s the point of waiting on homestyle food if a corporate chain food tastes just as good and it’s cheaper? The waitress brought out food sides that did not belong to us and failed to ask us if we wanted refills on drinks. We had not eaten anything all day. So by the time we got our food, I was nauseous and couldn’t eat much. A table of 2 took at least an hour and twenty minutes with no wait time for seating. Maybe they need to reevaluate how they manage their tables? They had at least 3 waitresses and 1 host on duty. We could see at least 2 cooks from where we were sitting. Absolutely no reason why we were treated horribly. One of the worst restaurant experiences ever. We probably should have walked out after waiting 30-minutes for a server to come wait on us but we had already walked a long way in the heat because there’s no parking close by and we didn’t want to wait another 30 minutes standing in line to get in a restaurant nearby. The food is actually pretty economical and that’s one of the reasons why we chose this restaurant. However, I am very sad to say that I cannot recommend Branson Café based off of poor service and wait time. We will not return and will not recommend to friends/family. Good service pays for word-of-mouth free advertising. I hope they make improvements on their service for future guests. 😒
