I would recommend the mixed grill as the meat is cooked perfectly and the salmon dish! Also truffle fries with parmesan are awesome. Pastel de Nata for dessert is the winner by far. Their coffee making skills could do with a bit of training but the taste is good. This place is actually a great spot to have dinner with a big group if you want solid performance in taste and a top notch atmosphere. Everyone was really happy with their food, nothing outrageously amazing but just well thought out dishes that were tasty and fun. The waiters are super helpful and even have a cheeky bit of banter. We were unexpectedly at Leiderdorp this evening and the pharmacists at the hospital recommended this restaurant. It is in a picturesque location. The menus is varied but simple and will meet most tastes. The steak and the salmon were fresh, beautifully prepared and with excellent vegetables/chips as accompaniments. The service was delightful and very efficient. The beer was cold and good range of wines by the glass. Much more moderately priced than comparable restaurants in Leiden. Highly recommend. The location is green and cosy surrounded by nice trees...The food is well designed, small portions, mostly delicious, I will not suggest the burger though! Strange sheepy cheese, soaky bread and not a great sandwich combination, a little bit not acceptable for a price of 18 euros...

We went with friends that live quite close by. We were amazed not only for the friendly staff and good food but also the atmosphere the fire place and the difference kind of environments inside. We felt in love completely. The kids could also play some games, make some handcraft and colouring. This will be definitely the first of many times that will come:) Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The service was very slow. After asking for a menu we waited at least 15 min to get it. Another 30 min until they took our orders after numerous efforts of waving and making eye contact. The burger bun and salad on it was cold as ice right out of the fridge, the burger was okay but also luke warm. My bf got a starter for 12€, which was even for a starter too small and it was not as great that you want to pay that much for it. Most of the evening we felt ignored by the waiters, waiting to order or for our orders/drinks to arrive. Can’t recommend. On the plus side the interior and the building is nice. Evening Dinner. Nice setting. Service was good. Mustard soup was great. Burger (taste and texture meat) was below average. Coffee special was nice.

Sweet place ... old farm changed into a modern cozy cafe restaurant. Food was really nice and mixed ! Stuff was helpful as well. Nice surroundings and good to combine with a walk in the forest next to it ...Brought my friends who lives outside of Leiden many times to here and will keep bring them !

Really good Burger. Tasty and juicy meet as well as side. Fresh food and kind service. Spectacular location. I agree with other reviews that they could use more waiters.
