One of the nicer bakeries in Taiping sells bead, buns, and cakes. I'm a huge bun fan, so I bought 4 just before leaving Taiping.
By time tech back, KL had the buns for supper, and to my surprise, the texture was still soft and fluffy. What impressed me is that the buns cost RM2.50, and the bun filling is double what they serve in PJ/KL. Plus, it's really nice.

A bakery located at Taiping town. Price is steep for cakes. The cheese tarts are very average in taste and the crust is way too thick and totally lacking in butter.

Recommended as Traveller from Penang.
Their bread are so tender and soft.
I bought Japanese cream cheese bun and cheese loaf
Their Japanese cheese cake is fluffy, moist and delicate. Texture like cotton melting in your mouth.
Price is affordable for common people
Grab yourself some tidbit if you paid Taiping a visit
Lovely local bakery along Town St. (Jalan Kota) opposite chinese hawker centre.

老板很随和，订蛋糕时可以根据自己的喜好跟老板讨论，做出更改。我买的蛋糕种类不会太甜，推荐推荐。

The best pandan cake I've had in forever! Still trying to find a pandan cake that can compete theirs in KL, only to disappoint me one after another. They had other tarts and cookies, loved them all. Finding reasons to stop at Taiping everytime we head north! Just to eat at the gem spots of Taiping 😍

Il y a un large choix de brioche, allant de la brioche aux graines (courge etc...), à la brioche au fromage. Gâteaux aux fruits et au chocolat sont aussi présents. C'est propre, c'est bon et les prix sont tout à fait raisonnable. Le personnel est accueillant. On peut aussi y commander et se faire livrer avec les livreurs de Foodpanda.
