The Whakatane Burger King is the worst running Burger King I’ve ever been to in New Zealand. The service is so slow, the entire store is empty (no cars) and the drive thru is full and it is taking 20-30 minutes per car to order and wait for their food. Fast food means exactly that. In and out. The workers walk around so slowly and with no urgency, how it still runs and has funding is beyond me. Will not be back. Management needs to be refreshed. Excellent service from staff. The disappointing thing was the drinks were warm, and sadly there was no ice, staff were happy to get us ice in a big cup. The staff were fantastic. The roof had major leaks 6 buckets collecting the water from the roof, and there were big puddles on the floor! I thoroughly enjoyed my spicy chicken burger because it actually had spice on it as advertised. I love being able to talk to a person when ordering my meal (unlike that other burger joint)and as a bonus it was delivered to my table. Good burger (yum burger) a little slow on the service side tho, must of had a rush on. Was gonna be dine in but due to the wait had to leave with takeaway. O0Prefer BK over McDs any day. Wait times terrible. Often missing food from order, honestly should just hire more staff. Update, tried to give it another try and what a surprise missing items. After contacting they had made the whole meal again free of charge. As i said earlier definitely need more staff. Food: 3 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2

I received a dirty/used cup when we went through the drive thru. Only noticed when I got home. I ordered an iced dring to find the inside of the cup was dirty and had curdled milk throughout my half filled drink.. Lucky I hadn't taken a sip yet 🤢 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Open and good service,has been revamped since last time here.Very spacious and a lot more meal deal options.Has a mini game parlour for kids or the young at heart.

Atmosphere/Restaurant seating area is always dirty and/or feels dirty. Food is usually nice but orders are stuffed up often. We asked Burger King Whakatane for hot water for a baby bottle and they said no. Who on earth says no to giving water for a babies bottle.. Absolutely ridiculous.
