I have lunch here at least once a week and the food and staff are always amazing. I used their catering services for a work event and it was a hit. The manager Freddie goes out of his way to make sure guest have a great experience. We stumble upon Burrito Shak during our trek to Surf City. The kiddos ordered quesadilla and burrito from the kids menu. The adults had the shaka and loaded nachos. The B-Shak salad is my go-to!!! So filling and healthy. The romaine is always crisp and fresh. Because life is all about balance, I usually get 4oz of Queso too. It’s delectable as well! The customer service is wonderful- laid back, confident, and kind. When I went in tonight, they ran out of ranch and the man behind the counter searched high and low to get that extra ranch! He was on a mission to provide - I recognize and appreciate that! The price is very fair. I got a salad, large Queso, and burrito for $26 (including tip). My usual family night to McDonald’s is at least $20. So this is way fresher and healthier for only a couple more bucks! The food was good, but the kitchen was a hot mess. :) Our family believes in 2nd chances, and we are thinking we were there on a challenging day. Based on the manager's kind and speedy reply - I believe they care deeply about their business and their customers, and strive to keep a 100 health rating. If you are in Surf City give them a try! Bahh!!!! This place is the BOMB!!! Do yourself a favor and eat here at least once! I’m a vegetarian and I truly LOVE the tofu. They also have a Monday potato night which is also sweet. We will be back, this place never disappoints. Service Take out Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20

On 9/28 I ordered online and indicated ASAP to pick up. I just had surgery and had to get someone to pick it up for me. The email from Burrito Shack as well as the actual order time to pick up was 6:53. At 7:20 it was still not ready. I am extremely disappointed and felt so bad for the friend who had to wait. He was going out of his way to help. I'm sure I will choose another restaurant in the future. And finally at 7:33 my friend had to leave without my food so I lost that money that I had already paid. Holy Moly do we love this place. We moved out of the area a few years ago and havent had the Shack since but on a recent trip back to Surf City, we made sure to stop. We got the Lane Bowl and the Reggae Tacos and this place does not disappoint and its a great deal for the money. I was hesitant at first but going on the trust of my fellow Yelpers reviews I decided to give Burrito Shak a try - Yelpers came through, again. A classic walk up and order style restaurant with a multitude of options and then grab a seat and wait for your order. I ordered the fish tacos (my go-to whenever and wherever they are available) and chips and salsa. These tacos were amazing. Busting with flavor and cooked to perfection. I loved the aioli and slaw they put on the taco. Everything tasted amazing. The sitting area needed a little attention. Most of the tables needed to be wiped down and even the ones that were looked to be done quickly and carelessly.
