This Cafe Rio is always soooo warm. Feels great walking in on a cold day. I have never had a poor experience at this location. Others may have, but I personally have not. Every time I order online, it is always there when I show up. They have tons of High School kids in there and always seem to keep the line going. I like this location. Deserves my business. The place was clean and organized. The staff was kind. The meat tasted old like someone wasn't doing their job making sure the meat tasted great. Not fresh tortillas were old. This is strictly based off our latest experience, in fact we went went a month prior and I had been craving cafe Rio for the last week. Normally it's packed, but this time we were the only customers there. Still we stood in line for 10 minutes waiting for them to take our order, there was only 2 people working. I ordered The same burrito I ate a month ago and was craving, this time left me thinking, I don't know if I will eat here again. I went to pick up my food. There. Was a missed item ir would have been obvious had they checked the order! I had to show them that it was missing ! I ordered Chips and Queso when I went to eat my food the food. The food was cold like it had been sitting there for quite a while. I picked it up at the appropriate time when it was supposed to be ready. When I told her the queso was missing she got the queso and scooped it in the cup, and when I went to open up the queso to eat it, the queso was cold. I don’t know how she did not recognize the queso was cold when she scooped it in the cup. The rice was crunchy. Everything was cold. I was really disappointed. We ordered on line and arrived early before our food was ready. I asked for water cups and they gave us soda cups so that we could have soda while we waited. The food was ready on time. It was close to closing time, the food was fresh, unlike some places I’ve been near closing time where the food has been sitting too long. They gave us generous portions, and it was all delicious. Short version: Order was wrong. Price on menu was $3 less that what I was charged on my receipt. Employees didn’t seem to care. Long version: Went through line. Employee put wrong sauce on. Then asked about cheese on top, I asked if it was extra, he said no. I said I didn’t want any, because I had a feeling it would show up on my receipt. He put it on anyway. Then when I get to the register they charge me $13.30 for a burrito that is listed as a little over $10 on the menu. To top it off I was charged extra for the cheese. Surprise surprise. When I notified the employee ringing me up of the error, he said I was wrong but wouldn’t check the sign to verify that the price on the menu board was wrong. I took a picture as a reference. Also I saw another review that said they got charged for extra things even though it said it was included on the menu. This is really shady, and the employees don’t seem to care. What’s going on with Cafe Rio this is the second time I make an order on the app and go pick it up only to open it when I get home and it has 5 pieces of steak in it. If I wanted a rice and bean burrito I would of ordered that, and there’s no way of knowing until you’re actually eating it , it’s not like you’re gonna open the whole burrito there to check it, do better. This is the absolute worst location I have ever been to they barely give you a tablespoon of rice and beans and when you ask for more they charge you for it. I shouldn’t have to ask for the full scoop that’s supposed to come with my already expensive meal. I won’t be back
