For whatever reason, this location just canNOT figure it out. They used to be great and it kills me that they’re not anymore. For a little while it would be just a little hit or miss, but now it’s just wrong all the time if you’re not ordering in person and supervising them. Seriously, down to the fact that A TOSTADA HAS SHREDDED LETTUCE!! Can’t even ask for shredded lettuce when ordering online because it comes with it, yet somehow they still plop on giant chunks of lettuce. Regular salad ordered instead, request shredded lettuce as an official substitution, and they don’t care about that either. No shredded lettuce accuracy here! It is the simplest thing but seemingly impossible to get right despite repeated feedback to their customer service over the past few years so I guess here’s a review. I came to Cafe Rio today. I previously thought that this Cafe Rio was the best from the nearby, but today I was extremely disappointed after I got home and saw this, my smothered burrito seemed like a child's plate meal and bearly any sauce. This is pathetic. We paid regular meal price not a child meal. I used to love to go to this place versus the west valley one because of the quality of food. Been going to this Cafe Rio location since HS and they never disapppointed when it came to the portion sizing and the flavor whenever I'd order a burrito. I wanted a vegetarian salad because I'm not a fan of meat but they mixed mine up with the person behind me and I got there grilled chicken salad instead. They gave me the wrong meat. They didn't ask us if we would like any kind of substitution when I arrived to pick up my order. We paid an extra 2 dollars for each of the steak entree only to not receive it! I would like a refund! Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

This used to be the best location, but has really gone downhill lately. I waited in line for 15 minutes, only to find out they’re out of Sweet Pork at 6:30 PM on a Friday? The management must not know how to properly prepare items to be in stock on a weekend night! Very disappointed! I’m now in my car on my way to Costa Vida. Was quite crowded but line moved quickly. If you want extras or your meal a certain way make sure the staff does what you actually ask them. Sometimes it seems like they're hard of hearing and just trying to plow through your meal on to the next customer. Totally disappointed. Ordered takeout delivery. Delivery service was awesome - my salad not so much. Ordered guacamole - none, ordered cilantro lime rice - none. Ordered extra sour cream - nope. Won't order from here again. It used to be better. I stopped ordering from here and now I remember why. Food: 2

When ordering inside and it's busy, beware. They yell down the line of people to ask about your order. I thought the whole point was to be able to order the glass so you could see your item. They're in such a hurry to get people done down the line. They didn't put rice in my burrito. I only wanted rice and meat. This is the 1 approximately 5400 South Redwood road Taylorsville Utah they make so much better food than the other 2 Cafe rios I've been to the good looks bdelicious and it tastes great their portion size are good you get a little bit of lettuce that they don't charge you for like the other 2 ones that chargeyou for lettuce. these guys are awesome it's nice to know that I ran restaurants all my life and it's really hard now days to find people but You guys have some great people working for You keep them take Care of them.
