Jjambong was okay.. noodle was low quality. But wouldn’t mind to try other dishes. For me ingredients are pretty poor for $18. I have to say my meal had 3 or 4 shrimps, lol.

I had lunch, and the spicy fried chicken and tteokbokki were exceptionally delicious. I would like to try their bibimbap next time; it's a big portion from what I see. I am happy they have an authentic Korean restaurant in Lawrence.

DELICIOUS food. Purchased in May 2023. Champong, bibimbap and spicy-sweet fried chicken. It was perfect. Go there now because it just opened and not many people know about it so it’s still a hidden gem.
Champong was piping hot, bright red and deliciously spicy. Bursting with seafood and noodles cooked to the perfect degree.
The bibimbap was deliciously seasoned and the vegetables were chopped nicely.
And the spicy-sweet chicken was deliciously crisp and saucy. Is it double fried? It was so crunchy!

First of all, I was pleased to dine in a clean and uniquely decorated place. The meat, vegetables, and gochujang sauce in the Bibimbap complemented each other well, and had a moderate level of spiciness that was just right.
The original chicken was the most delicious chicken I have ever tasted. Unlike other chickens, it wasn't too salty, which was great. Although I didn't take a picture of it, Sikhye is my favorite traditional Korean drink here. It's a drink made from rice, and I highly recommend trying it at least once.
I am so grateful and happy that a Korean restaurant has opened in Lawrence.

I had the opportunity to try the beef kimbap, sweet & sour pork, and jjam-ppong, and I must say, all three dishes were delicious. The flavors were on point and I thoroughly enjoyed each dish. Without a doubt, the jjam-ppong was the star of the meal for me. Its delectable and fiery broth was bursting with flavor, complemented by an abundance of fresh seafood. The sweet and sour pork is freshly fried and has a pleasingly chewy texture that's reminiscent of chapssal-tteok (rice flour). This texture gives the dish an extra level of depth and makes it stand out from other sweet and sour pork dishes. Overall, the jjam-ppong was a standout dish that left a lasting impression. I will definitely be coming again! :)
I also feel compelled to address some of the reviews by emphasizing that the restaurant operates as a self-service establishment. This means that customers are required to collect their food when their name is called by the staff, rather than having it brought to their table. It's essential to have realistic expectations when dining here to ensure a positive experience.

Cafe The Mani is amazing! The staff is lovely the owners are sweet and the food is great. Their friend chicken is 100000000 times better than your fast food chains. Tried their korean beef bbq as well and it was amazing. Never before have I ever eaten the fat off the meat but it was so gooooodddd. This restaurant is my new favorite place to dine.
