Wow! It's hard to believe someone would take the time to write a negative review because they cut into a chocolate cake and found only the icing was chocolate. My granny use to make a chocolate cake that was so close to Sue's chocolate cake that I'm thinking Sue and I must be related somehow. 😉 Unbelievable, I've tried three different flavors so far. The only thing I don't like is I'm bound to be adding some pounds as long as Sue's in business. Don't change a thing Mrs Sue. Let the "new fashioned" get their cakes from Stouffers. My guess is that some of these negative reviews are coming from Sue's jealous competition. BTW.....the only reason I looked up Cakes by Sue was to see if they made my favorite German Chocolate cake. Keep up the great work!

Fabulous. Sweet, positive women on phone & in shop. The best ever Caramel cake, just like my mother always made with 5) thin layers. Unbelievably great Praline Pecan pound cake, so glad in call with personable Ms. Pat, I’d said ooh how Caramel cake frosting like New Orleans -Type pralines, yum, she said oh if you like Pralines you need to try our Praline Pecan Pound Cake. We did. Moist, uniquely delicious, so rich a few bites all you need. Like Homemade wonderful.

Bought a 5 layer Caramel Cake. The cake looked good. But the icing was like eating pure, raw, table sugar. Not creamy at all. It crunched against my teeth.

The label is very misleading. We purchased a cake for my sister’s birthday. She loves chocolate so we bought what we thought was a chocolate cake because it said chocolate cake. However when we cut the cake we discovered it was a yellow cake with chocolate frosting. I did look again after finding out it was a yellow cake. It does say in the ingredient listing yellow cake but I still feel the label is deceitful. Also the cake was to all of us a little dry, especially for the price we paid for it. I do not think I will ever buy another cake made by this company.

The outside of the cake is hard as a rock. The frosting comes off all in one piece. Cake said chocolate you cut it open and it's yellow. It taste horrible texture and all. I honestly don't see how you have so many good reviews they must be family. Definitely not worth 13$

This was my 1st time buying from Cakes N Candy...I bought a caramel cake for my son's birthday...it wasn't that great, especially for almost $30...it was rather dry and a bit too sweet...definitely not a true caramel cake..I never considered it wouldn't be caramel icing...I could have spent less than $5 for a cake mix and can of caramel frosting...I won't return 😔

Picked up a chocolate 2 layer from Piggly Wiggly tonight. Was shocked when it rang up $15.99, but very disappointed when we got home and it was very dry and the icing was gritty. A $4.00 cake at best. I don't understand the good comments about these cakes. I hope this cake was just a little old and not how they truly are. Unfortunately, I'll never know because the was the first and last "Cakes by Sue" for us.

A friend gave me a strawberry two layer cake from your company and i must say that it was very nostalgic. A "classic" traditional cake and excellent taste! I look forward to trying your other products!!

Discovered the Carmel cake at our local Piggly Wiggly. It is the best I've had since my "granny" made it. They use granulated sugar just like she did. My wife is addicted. I may have to send her to rehab. Do u make chocolate?
