Amazing place! I was able to put in an order all the way from the South to my Grandmother in CT for her birthday thanks to their team! I was able to place the delivery on the GrubHub app! So awesome! It had been years since I've been here, so I popped in for a quick look. It seemed kind of desolate, so I aired on the side of caution and got two desserts and a loaf of bread, The bread was still quite nice at the end of the day, and that cannoli pie was really good, but the chocolate mousse pie was only okay. Someone popped in to pick up a couple of subs, he seemed excited. I'll probably be back to try some sandwiches. Their selection of other things was very limited, I remember it having quite a variety of imported Italian products, but this time it was a mixture of items made in America and a imported things. I go there whenever im in new haven..The best subs.the bread is fresh and stuffed with whatever your heart desires. By the way they use boars head.And they dont skimp on the meat like some other deli's. You wanna great sub go to Capellas and get your money's worthyou will think me.and them. My pizza was delivered look warm and under cooked. Whoever cut it doesn't know how to cut it. The pizza itself was like a soup with giant puddles up grease. This wasn't worth 42 dollars Service Delivery Meal type Lunch Price per person $30–50 Food: 1

Completely mortified by the treatment I have recieved today. I grew up eating there food and would not choose any other pizza place to eat. I was a very loyal customer and today I was treated like a low bottom of the barrel piece of scum as if my hard earned money was not valid. The owner proceeded to discredit my concerns as well tell me in his words what am I going to just give away food as if I didn’t spend $50 for food that was not correct. He continued to become increasingly angered. I have never been treated so badly in my life. I also have a recording of him telling me basically he wasn’t giving away food as if I was a charity case. After I moved to west haven, this place was the first pizzeria that I order pizza from. It was back in August 2018. I ordered over the phone for delivery. I think it was at least 2 or 3 pies. The pizza arrived cold and my house is about 5 minutes from the store so I didnt order for delivery anymore. I learned its best to pick it up from the store and thats what I’ve done after that. I am writing a review now because their pizza is great, but the quality has really gone downhill. If its the first time I would give them another chance but this isnt. Our pizza has been burnt as shown on the photos (from today) and there were pieces of charcoal stuck to the dough before. (The oven needs to be cleaned more often) I just let it go before, but it has been happening more and more. I see a review with the same complaint and this is the final time I will order pizza from here. The food is great here but if there are quality issues over and over, I believe its time to move on. I have kept ordering since it was my closest and local pizzeria, but I’ll explore other pizzerias now.
