Keith the bartender is the best!! This is not just some tourist bar .. tons of history, great live music, an absolute must stop every time you get to Key West!! Still one of the best bars in the keys! Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Stopped in at Noon on Saturday 2/3/24. Had live music and wanted to hang out in a cool place that supposedly Jimmy Buffett wrote about. But your bartender (Will I believe was his name) ruined it for us. Super rude! Not only to us, but I heard him speaking to others in such a rude manner as well. People are here to have fun. You don't have to be rude when asked a simple question of what is available when the whole bar is dark and we can't see what's behind the bar!! Sorry you had to work on a Saturday?? Also the drink was gross. We threw it away after paying for $7.50 for an ounce or half. Price per person $10–20 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3

I don't understand the high ratings for this place and suspect it's because people who are on vacation and partying tend to like everything. I have been to Key West over 20 times and have only been to Captain Tony's a handful of time because, frankly, it isn't very nice. While it is a very historical part of Key West, that history doesn't supplant reality. Captain Tony's is dark and smells like urine. This wasn't a one time thing, either. It's been every time I was there. Everything in there seems sticky, the bar tops, the floors, the seat backs, everything. It's almost like they don't clean it enough or something although I am not insinuating that they don't. The bathrooms are terrible. The drinks are fine but, really, you can't screw up what I drink. The bottom line is that Captain Tony's is a place that should be visited one time, for historical purposes. After that there are plenty of other places to drink that are better. Service: 3 Atmosphere: 1

Good musician, and the place is my favorite. Never did get the grouper to catch my coin. The real Sloppy Joe's and history. Yes, that's a chastity belt. Don't go...you're not worthy.🩵🍻🏴‍☠️ Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

Cool place to check out and historical, it was the original sloppy joes. We came during the day when it was less crowded and enjoyed sipping on the mojitos! Great mojito by the way it wasn’t too sweet at all and it was refreshing! Price per person $10–20 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5
