Firat time back here since new owners have taken over, and I must say everything was great! From the service to the laid back atmosphere and beautiful food. Brother got the meat platter which was HUGE, and I got the fish meal which was as fresh as you could get with a beautiful salad 🥗 Will definitely be back thank you! I never leave reviews but I had too! This place is amazing. Kai was perfect! Chips were perfectly cooked and so was the fish. Bubble teas are so reka!! Not from Gisborne but would definitely come back and eat here again 😍😍 situated right next to the beach, just such a perfect nice place to eat. Service was poor, made us feel rushed. Didn’t order a meal because of that so got hot chips out of the warmer. They were cold and unsalted. Other than that, sitting out the back was lovely. I hope this helps to improve in the future. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3

Change review to 3 stars,my eggs in the Benedict were hard az owl chef,that's a first and last here chef,got it right the first time chef. First breakfast here in many years, the reviews were a big factor not coming,but had to find out for myself,not bad the egg Benny it was pretty good,smokey bacon,lots of sauce,very early so only 2 of us,it was a once a bustling business,very busy how things have dramatically changed,it's pricey compared to elsewhere,service ok,compliments to the chef today. Wanting to support Local I decided to have Friday night Takeaway at Captain Morgans. It was the most disgusting kai I have ever had at a takeaway. Greasy, disgusting and had someone's long black hair thrown in for good measure. Burger was just as bad, pure grease. My hands were soaked in grease, so much, yuk. Definitely would not recommend this establishment ever!! Please don't go there or support this business. Service Take out Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–40 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Went to go and tautoko the new ownership. Got a nice warm $10 choc milkshake, (milk+syrup=😝) took it back and got replaced with a cold version ✅, nice and runny. 😮‍💨 0/10 for the cold drinks. (would give a -0, but then that would be colder than the drinks 🤦.) No ticket for our order, so poor girlsie offerred our Kai to Randoms.
