I have ceased going to all Carl's Jr's due to their newly automated drive-thrus. It's a tawdry way to cut costs and shows a complete lack of respect for their customers. Furthermore, I recently asked employees why combo prices never match the menu. They told me the menu prices are for "small" combos. Yet they automatically ring up a medium combo w/o asking and leave you paying $1.30 more than you expect. Medium has ALWAYS been the standard at Carl's Jr since I worked there 18 years ago. So showing the price for a small and silently charging you for a medium is blatantly shady. This led me to realize that the same pricing practice is also in place at Jack In The Box.
