Mexican cuisine is well-cooked at this restaurant. Come to Carnes concepción for a break and degust perfectly cooked smoked meat, chorizo and laing. It's time to degustate delicious beer. If you look through the visitors' comments, the staff is nice at this place. Enjoyable service is something clients appreciate here. Pay adequate prices for eating at this spot. You will definitely like the quiet atmosphere. This restaurant has got Google 4.4 according to the guests' opinions.

Stopped by here on the way to Ek Balam (TLDR also not worth it, but the cenote there was worth it). The meat is good, but nothing to write home about if you've ever had Texas bbq. Meat has good flavor and texture but overall was too dry. About $6 USD a meal. The sausage was supposed to be highlight. It's a quaint hole in the wall right off the main road. I don't regret going but wouldn't stop again. We had better food in Valladolid, but this was a cheap quick eat. Good service and nice family restaurant. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $100–200 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3
The degustation plater was filling even for 4 people. Good variety. Choriso so, so, but the pork and dark sausage were awesome. Bean soup as a starter. Visited because of the polish show where Robert Makłowicz reccomended the place 😅 Service Dine in Meal type Brunch Price per person $1–100 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

This is my third visit to Carnes Concepcion and its always a pleasure. My favorite stop while visiting chichen itza. Always recommend the family platter if you have room. Everything on the menu is tasty 😎 Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $100–200
Our family stopped here for lunch on the way to Ek Balam. The food was delicious and reasonably priced! The smoked meat was great! We highly recommend this authentic restaurant.
They sell fresh Temazon cured ham, bacon, sausage or carne ahumada, longaniza, chorizo, fresh oaxaca cheese, butter, beers, breakfast

It's OK place. I would not come back for the food in the restaurant, but the store offers some nice looking dried/smoked meat. Service only in Spanish. I feel my review should rectify some expectations of this place. Based on some reviews here, this should be the best restaurant in the whole of Yucatan peninsula. That's why I visited. For me it was the opposite experience. Not that this one is particularly bad, it's just that I probably had better almost everywhere else. Call me lucky. Maybe if you have never tried dried meat products? Maybe this would explain those reviews. Maybe it's just not my taste. I don't know really. I usually give 5 stars to the places I like. Normally I'd skip on giving a 3 star review, cause sometimes it's just the matter of taste, but I felt a bit cheated by the reviews in this case.
Had some really nice soup that was the special that day. Came in nicely spiced chicken broth with chicken leg, hunk of roasted pork and big piece of carrot, potato and unripe banana. The banana was a nice taste. My son had their plate of four different meat tacos. He tried the local sausage but was not a fan. It is very finely ground. The young man who served us was very friendly and efficient. By the time we left there were at least 4 more tables seated. The name of the place is hard to see above the store. The front sells ready to eat meats in one area and snacks and sodas on the other side. Seating for eating in continues further back. Great stop after ruin and cenote.
Must stop if visiting the area We're halfway through a month-long road trip in the Yucatan, and we agree this has been the best meal of the trip. Our family of three devoured a smoked meat platter and (huge) tamale and--highlight--had craft beer in the bottle! We've been in Valladolid for several days, and Carnes Concepcion has the best beer selection we've seen thus far in this region. Delightful surprise. The lunch was crazy affordable, service kind and patient with us as we practiced our Spanish, and we so loved everything we bought fresh homemade tortillas and sausage to go. Everyone was delighted, and we'll be driving out tomorrow to repeat.

Superb. Did I eat an entire player of tacos? Yes, I did. Did I immediately turn around and order another plate of longaniza? You betcha. Would I have ordered a third if my friends hadn't stopped me? Absolutely. Am I questioning my choice in friends? A little. Go here now.
