The place was clean, the service was fast, portions were of good size, and prices were reasonable. I enjoyed the peach pie with the flakey crust and whipped cream. It was a very enjoyable experience! Catfish Haven served excellent food and service even during their “slow” hours. Everything that came out the kitchen was perfectly cooked and I’m going crave the hush puppies for a long time! Oyster Poboy was stellar with plump oysters perfectly breaded. The Fried mushrooms come out hot (as they ought to!) and the condiments were good- real ranch, great cocktail sauce, and free refills on tea and soda.

Shrimp was awesome, oysters were slightly overcooked, catfish is NOT fillets, it was like a long string. A bit off-putting. But taste was pretty good. Decent prices and large portions. My schnitzel was raw on the inside. Sent it back and got a catfish poboy sandwich. It was ok. My family members ordered the seafood platter. Did not taste very good. You could tell that the oil in their fryers had not been changed. My mother ordered the chicken fried steak but it was overcooked. My family spent $82 and were very disappointed. The catfish here is really good. The servive after we got seated was good and we liked the atmosphere. The restaurant was not busy however, we stood there for 5-10 minutes bedore anyone seated us. First time here. The place is the sort of place a local like myself would go after a long day on the ranch. Its quiet, it's roomy, it's homely. If you want fancy, it ain't here If you want relaxed, have some dinner and talk about the hardships of your day, this is your place.
