Location is beautiful and seats are comfy.
The Tartare was not was i’m used to, served at room temperature.
All other dishes were great, including the risotto.
Definitely worth a visit.

Definitely our favorite restaurant for a special occasion or just a nice steak dinner. We started the evening off with some stuffed mushrooms alongside Nederburg's iconic 'The Brew Master'. I treated myself to a chateaubriand which was cooked to perfection. The tableside flambé just makes it that much more worth while. As per usual, we ended the night with the best crème brûlée in town. Can't wait to go back for more!

What a delightful dinner this has been. The restaurant is rather spacious inside and at the same time, I enjoyed the privacy and discretion we’ve got there. It’s clean, and the setting is quite romantic and elaborated. There is more than enough options on the menu but I cannot recommend the steaks enough! They age their meats themselves there and, the outcome in the plate is phenomenal! The wine I’ve had was locally sourced and simply outstanding. Kudos to the service team, especially Charlie our server who was very professional and approachable from the beginning until we left. Will definitely be back.
Fabulous dining experience. This is really a top start restaurant. We had the creamy garlic snails and the chicken livers for starters. For the main meal, we both enjoyed the Chalmar lamb rump. A signature meal for Cattle Baron Paarl, which we enjoy every time we go. It's an absolute must. A HUGE thank you to Franco and his very well trained, professionally and friendly staff !!

When you see a Cattle Baron, your first image is a "Grown up Spur". Boy were we wrong........
Cattle Baron Paarl is probably the single most impressive restaurant that I have ever graced in all my years.
From the moment you walk through the front door, you are greeted with an upmarket comfortable presence.
Our waiter, Iwan, was an amazing character that could read his client, offer opinions on food and selection, and help you to enjoy your meal. He is the kind of waiter who knew his menu back to front and was proud of his effort and work.
The steak was absolutely sublime...... I was blown away. Chips and vegs were delicious and of ample portion.
To the owner of this establishment, be proud, be very proud, your staff do you well.
Well done Cattle Baron Paarl and Staff.
You will see me again!
