This delightful wine shop and tasting bar has a sizable collection of regional and local wines, including sparkling. If you're visiting downtown, Central Coast Wines is like a little oasis where you can take a breather, try amazing wines, and relax. There is a welcoming tasting bar at the back of the shop where you can typically enjoy a guided tasting for 4-6 rotating local wines. A small, but impressive food menu and several packages meats, cheeses, and olives are also available. The shop regularly hosts local winemakers to pour and discuss their wines. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, particularly the owner Miya, who is passionate about wine and winemaking, and a certified sommelier. Bottle prices are very fair. Whether you're looking for a fun afternoon or evening tasting wines, or looking to pick up some bottles, this wine shop is among the best on the Central Coast.

Highly knowledgeable staff with an Owner/Buyer whom is very hands on to the demands of the local wine customers. Always has incredible domestic and international selection if wines, beer and cider. Always find a gem here at phenomenal pricing. Not to mention, they are a licensed wine bar where you can go through an ever changing flight or just stop through to grab a glass! If you like wine, you owe it to yourself to stop in and pick up a favorite or try something new!

This is the cutest wine shop. The shop always have great new wines to try. I love going in and doing a tasting with the friendly staff. There is great variety and the owner is very knowledgable.

Amazing selection of local & regional, mainly natural, wines. Super friendly staff, interesting & constantly rotating tastings, and a great vibe. Should be 5 stars all day.

Visited while passing through SLO and was thoroughly impressed with their selection and knowledgeable staff. The shop offers a wide selection of local and other selections, allowing for a diverse and exciting experience for wine enthusiasts. The staff members were friendly, approachable, and more than happy to assist with recommendations based on personal preferences and occasions. Their expertise and passion for wine were evident, making the shopping experience enjoyable and educational. Additionally, the shop's inviting atmosphere and well-organized layout made it easy to navigate and explore the different wine offerings. Whether you're a connoisseur or a novice wine lover, Central Coast is a must-visit destination. Parking is plentiful around the area. Figure out the parking meters, enforcement is vigilant.

Great spot in downtown San Luis Obispo. They carry many natural wines here that are both local and international.
Tasting flight features 6 wines is a much better deal than going to 6 wineries.
Browsing inventory on their website is easy and you can always order for pick up and delivery. They have everything - from easy daily drinking wines to rare and collectible bottles!

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Central Coast Wines store for a tasting experience in the beautiful town of San Luis Obispo. As an avid wine enthusiast, I was excited to explore the renowned wines of the Central Coast region, and this store exceeded my expectations in every aspect.
Upon entering the store, I was immediately greeted by Solomiya's (the owner) a warm and inviting atmosphere. The knowledgeable and friendly staff members were ready to assist and guide me through the tasting journey, enhancing the overall experience.
Central Coast Wines boasts an impressive selection of wines from the region, showcasing the diverse and exquisite flavors that the Central Coast is known for. It was my first time in California and I have tasted it 100%. From crisp whites to robust reds, they had something to suit every palate. The store's dedication to featuring local wineries and lesser-known gems was evident, providing visitors with an opportunity to discover hidden treasures.
The tasting itself was a true delight. Miya guided me through a carefully curated flight, ensuring that I had a chance to sample a variety of wines that truly represented the essence of the Central Coast. Each pour was accompanied by insightful information about the winemakers, vineyards, and tasting notes, which added a deeper appreciation to each sip.

I walked into this establishment a couple days ago and asked the person at the front counter if the wine shop carried a 2018 Malbec from Napa county. I will not name the producer.The individual looked me dead in the eyes and said No, we don’t have it with in seconds, As if she can name every wine in the store off memory. The person at the counter was drinking wine with 2 customers and treated me like I interrupted their conversation. I said thank you and said I’ll check for it online. As I proceeded to walk out the person at the counter said to the the 2 customers who comes to a wine store and asks for one wine and made sure I was in ear shot. After living in Napa I never experienced such behavior from someone in the wine industry. I will not be coming to this establishment in the future.
