The food was amazing, to be true. I highly recommend the osso bucco. My issue was the 30 minutes to get our soup starter. Actually, the issue was more the waiter who took our soup order, then didn't stop at the table until the soup was nearly served. When I asked why soup was so long, he asked if I needed the manager to explain it to me. Then he took our dinner order. So, food is amazing, service will depend on if your server is in a mood, apparently. Food: 5 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 5

Tried the restaurant for the first time around a week ago as it’s attached to the hotel we were staying at. Service was fantastic (I feel like the waiter we had was trained at a Michelin star restaurant) and food was delicious. Everything came very quickly and was cooked to perfection. We came again today and the food was still great but my carbonara was missing the pancetta… Service was still fantastic though and we’d definitely recommend the place. I don't usually write reviews but when I do it's because the food was amazing. A friend of mine has been recommending che figata for a while now. He described it as a hidden gem of Chicago as it is. The atmosphere is really nice here. We went for my wife's 40th birthday and loved everything but the one thing that I loved was they remember my wife's birthday from the reservation and surprised her with a piece of tiramasu. My overall grade for Che Figata is: B+ We were given this suggestion by my good friend Dom who is in the wine business. We actually didn’t even know about this place even though we drive by all the time. I think because it’s behind a hotel on a very quiet street, it is missing out on some traffic. Ok, let’s get to it. The facility is great. There is a wood burning oven and another Santa Maria style grill. The menu is great. Wine list, could be bigger, but fine. We had 2 Italian wines, both great. Cocktails: I ordered an Old Fashioned. No, I’m not a cocktail expert, but I am usually asked if I have a preference of bourbon. Not this time. Also, it came without a cherry. Hmmm Appetizers: delicious. Charcuterie board, grilled octopus, bruschetta & meatballs. The meatballs were awesome. Mains: all but one ordered pasta. One Branzino which was perfectly cooked. We were told the lasagna (2 of us) would be 25 minutes. No worries. Sadly, both lasagnas were not even hot when they came to the table. Disappointing. Yet, tasty. Espresso & afogato for dessert. I wish the lasagna would have been at temperature. That’s what probe thermometers are for. I have 3 at home. We will go back, but I think they still have a couple kinks to work out before I would highly recommend. Stay tuned. The food is so fresh. We love this place. 2nd time celebrating a birthday. Food is very good. Comes from their very own garden nearby and local farms. I actually loved the arugula salad with truffle dressing. I bought dressing to take home. I ate to fast before I thought of taking a photo. The steak is very juicy. Cooked perfectly. Lasagna was delicate. Congratulations to the chef. And our server Raphael was the best. Request him.

Restaurant is a cute place, upscale environment. Faces the kitchen to see what's going on which is a nice touch. Food was pretty good, but the portions were small. Had the rigatoni dish and the noodles were good, but definitely not enough, and I'm a small person. Service was really slow for us that night, there was also a server mix up one guy greeted, and then another greeted and took over. Then took time for drinks, then longer to order. Never checked in on us. Overall was ok. Price to portions not worth it. Have a cocktail list but only received the wine list which is included on the menu. So much delicious food and drinks! Was there last weekend for my birthday and mother's day . Had the diver scallops. Oh my word!!! This should always be on the menu!!! They were even able to make my daughter whose vegan, her own pizza Even with vegan cheese! Also got the pesto chicken pizza. Again did not disappoint! Our waiter on Saturday let my friend and I try 2 bubbly 1 rose and 1 prosecco. Enjoyed both! Can't wait to come back when it gets a bit warmer out to sit on the outside patio!

Che figata is just next to where we live and we have been here for the past 3 years. Thought today was the day we explore the place. we went at a time when there was literally no one in there .... later the place started getting full. This is next to hotel arista. It is in a nice area near the city gate. The waiter was really nice, humble, and explained the entire menu. His selection of wines was also good. for the starters we had the BURRATA & CAPONATA with ITALIA N WEDDING SOUP. wifey loved the burrata, it had a bit of spice which we liked. The soup was just ok. for the main course, we had the GRILLED YELLOWFIN TUNA STEAK and ORECCHIETTE & BROCCOLI PESTO pasta. The pasta was nice however I felt it lacked some flavor. My wife's tuna steak was good, especially the salad that came with it. For desserts, we had Tiramisu which we were very excited about.
