It's nice to taste delicious tea. Checkers is well known for its great service and friendly staff, that is always ready to help you. This place offers you a great choice of dishes at fair prices. As people find it, the atmosphere is cool here. But this spot is not highly appreciated by Google users who provided it a below average rating.

Raging hot garbage. I honestly was impressed by how terrible the entire experience was. We came back to town and went here for a little nostalgia. This place used to be where people would come after the football games. Having been to many checkers in my life, this was just sad to see. The food was its own issue - I see how they’re able to offer lower prices when the large fry is smaller than the medium and the chicken patty’s are a quarter inch thick. Also don’t expect fries with your kids meals. We spent over $50 here and even when asked for ketchup for our food and honey mustard for our chicken tenders, they forgot. No biggie but when I came to the window to grab some I was met by one of the managers and in between her yelling at the staff, argued with me over giving me the sauces. They have adapted to AI For taking order which is fine - it did a decent job but the customer service was notably terrible. You would think when spending money to remove the burden of taking orders using AI, the staff would be freed up a bit to improve upon service. Guess not. Can't add orders at the window, automatic machine order taker (AI) didn't put cheese on my hot dog.. and yes I pacificly said CHILL CHEESE DOG ...I told the cashier I hate that Automatic order taker and this is exactly why when I ask him why do they have it he says he doesn't know why... remove the AI from taking orders or make sure orders are read back or something... sometimes the AI reads orders back this time it didn't...

Today well, I was rushing around running errands in the area, I figured I’d stop in for a burger at this checkers. I ordered fairly quickly, and when I got to the window, the man there was flustered. As the food and beverage employee myself, I understand how hectic it can get. He continued to profusely apologize throughout the entire interaction while I saw him moving as quickly as possible to get my order to me he explained that it was himself, and one other person in the building, and that all of the managers had left them high and dry, I explained that I understand the situation and that they are doing an amazing job. I assume the people behind me will be waiting longer than I did since I was the first in line. I hope the rest of the line is as understanding as I am, though I know that won’t be the case. This is on management and not on the front line workers. I applaud them for such a good attitude today. As far as fast food goes, Checkers is pretty good. They are inexpensive, so you don't expect to get a gourmet burger. For under $8.00, we got two bacon cheddar burgers and a medium order of fries. The burgers were good, but the fries were great. They were just slightly crispy, and the salt was just right. We went to the drive-through, and the young lady who was working the window was helpful, friendly, and fast. Really glad I drove 20 minutes to be served GREAT VALUE fries instead of checkers fries. No warning. Fries are what you’re known for, if you don’t have them you should just close. Service Take out Meal type Other Price per person $1–10

There are no words for what I experienced here, including being trapped on the drive thru line for 1hr 20. I will spare the horrifying details and just say that this store should be shut down and the owner should never be allowed to own a food establishment of any kind ever again. And I normally have full sympathy and understanding for service workers. But the people working this particular night, not so much. They could make more money selling tickets for people to come watch the circus of the least qualified human beings to ever take a breath. If only I recorded my experience lol. The food was great considering it's a fast food burger. The shake machine was down which is why I actually stopped there. So that was a bummer but my complaint is the drive thru A.I. Robot that takes your order. It's bad enough that we have to deal with this anytime we call a customer service number but drive thru windows too, come on. The thing kept trying to sell me different items after I said my order was complete. I mean it must have asked me about 5 different items to add to my order. I wanted to short circuit the dang thing. I ate here on Friday November 10th at 11:50, the guy who took our order was so professional and made the experience so much more pleasant! It was a breath of fresh air to have someone who actually cared about doing there job and actually putting the service into customer service. We got his name, it was Cameron. Really seemed like a bright young man and I'm sure is a valuable employee for your business. Unfortunately people like him are not common these days, so we thought it was worth recognizing.
