The chicken bowl is soooo good. Meat of flavorful and tender. I don’t know what is in their green sauce but I love it. Their chauffa rice is delicious.

The chicken sandwich and beef bowl were delicious. Meat was tender, juicy, and seasoned just right. Yuca fries, rice, and sides were good too. Large portions. Everything tasted fresh. You can see the fire pit they use. The wait is a bit long but the food is worth it.
Will not get the “salchipapa” again was curious and got it. It’s more like a (one time for the one time), other than that they’re chicken is really flavorful-well seasoned. Yuca fries are way better then French fries and they’re yellow sauce makes a great addition and obviously you gotta add those black beans and white rice 😋

It was pleasant, not the most welcoming, comforting or hospitable…. Tables and chairs needed cleaned…
I am not a fan of thin greased paper with my food on in a try… I hear this is how bbq is supposed to be done… this is a Peruvian restaurant. I just don’t enjoy eating the paper when it gets soggy and caught up in the food…
The chicken could have done with more cooking to fall off the bone, that’s the way I like chicken, maybe not the style for this restaurant. The food was good to be fair, as were the juices.

It was one of the best Rotisserie chicken with a South American touch. Great side orders. Really recommend if you're eating healthy.

You NEED to come here. Period. I need to go back, like tomorrow! Came here for the first time today and infatuated is an understatement.
I went for a bottled tropical juice until I saw the hibiscus-ginger lemonade on the menu. Winner! My husband got the chica morada. Double winner! I wanted one after I tasted his and even debated getting one to-go. ;)
For lunch, I had the brasa burrito and sweet plantains. It drew me in with all the veggies, and it was so good, I didn’t even realize there was no cheese. NO CHEESE on a completely appetizing burrito?! Yes! I mean it! Don’t even get me started on the size of this thing. I couldn’t even eat half of the burrito and maybe had two slices of plantains with my large lemonade that I took three sips of because I was too busy flooding my mouth with the brasa! Side note: I loved that the tomatoes and lettuce were placed to the side to avoid icky reheating later.
My husband opted for the quarter chicken, fried rice and sweet plantains. He was sold, and later realized after his rotisserie was nothing but mere bones, that he should’ve ordered more lol. Unfortunately, they don’t sell just chicken as a meal so he left unstuffed. Needless to say, the proportions are still satisfying.
We got there 30 min before they were closing so didn’t get to experience the dine in experience BUT man was the food so fresh when we got it to go! I got the 1/4 rotisserie chicken (as shown) with black beans/plantains. Such a good size for one person! I was full already half way through eating the chicken. Expect to spend $13.50 and above for any entree. Don’t be alarm! It’s worth the cost as my friends got the bowl with the egg (not pictured) they also said it was yummy! Will definitely be back when in the area

Excellent, Excellent, Excellent. The only downside to this spot is how far I must drive to enjoy it. The chicken was cooked to perfection. It was also ideally seasoned. I don’t need to take the 1630 flight to Lima anymore to enjoy Peruvian rotisserie chicken. Make sure you try all the sauces which pair flawlessly with the fries and chicken. It is a counter serve restaurant but the service was still above par. I would eat here once a week if it wasn’t 45 minutes from the house.
Edit: Please open a location in the Bay Area, PLEASE!!!

The one and only rotiessieri pollería in Houston making delicious Peruvian style pollo a la brasa! I’m a regular here and have been coming here regularly since they opened! Love the food, service and people of Chick Houz!
My husband and I eat here often and it’s consistently amazing. I’ve had the Brasa Burrito, the Chick N Sandwich and the Rotisserie Chicken Lunch Special (pictured). The lunch special comes with corn tortillas and a drink for $12.99. Well seasoned, great quality, even better service!
