This was formerly restaurant Park Avenue. The owners changed their business model after an economic downturn five years ago. The restaurant now caters mainly to a slightly younger crowd. We ordered the fillet steak with mushroom sauce and the crispy pork with stir-fried vegetables. The steak was cooked perfectly. The pork was very tasty and is cooked in a sizzling cast iron dish such as used by Chinese restaurants. It wasn't sizzling however, when it arrived but it was nice and hot. I was disappointed that there was no pork crackling which is what I would have expected for a dish called crispy pork. But it was extremely flavourful so the disappointment was mild. The service was friendly. Cirano came for a chat and Juliette served us with a smiles and a touch of humour. All in all, it was an extremely pleasant experience.

The food is just amazing. Steak so tender it melts in your mouth and explodes with flavor. The owner and her staff are friendly and warm they caterer to your every need. What an incredible experience, what an incredible restaurant.

Five stars to Cirano's! Even though the menu is somehow small, rest assured on the taste, freshness and preparation quality of the dishes that get to your table... especially the red meats (t-bones, sirloins,...). The place -the lay out, lightning, decoration and music- is serene while still being enthusiastic. You can see the owners around - Cirano and Juliette- who will be putting all their personal care in your confort and satisfaction. One of the best places in Paramaribo. Note: if you are planning on dining at Cirano's, avoid bringing childs with you...

Place is too expensive for quality of food and service offered. Definitely not the best place in Suriname for steaks. Place is only for one visit as for me ...
