My fiancé and I recently got married and we chose City Tavern for our wedding venue. Aki was so kind and supportive while always being a constant source of advice. He had the know-how to make our event go smoothly from start to finish. Chef Colins made some of the best food I have ever eaten, and there is absolutely nothing I can think to criticize about the quality of food and service we received.
The CTC provided us with one of the best wedding experiences we could have hoped for, and I know that they can maintain that bar of excellence for any event someone could host there.

After a lot of searching, we found this perfect place to have our rehearsal dinner. The history, food, and ambiance were exactly what we were looking for.
As the owner, Aki, told us, "You don't want the rehearsal dinner to upstage the wedding." Well, sorry, Aki, City Tavern came dangerously close to doing so. That's meant to be the highest of compliments. The place was beautifully decorated, and the staff made the process so much fun to coordinate and put everything together.
Special thanks to Chef Colin, who is a master at his craft and worked personally with us to craft a menu that made for a very special night.

A wonderful weekend Wedding experience with the City Tavern Club in Georgetown. The club left no part of my daughters wedding to chance. Everything aspect of the wedding from the wedding ceremony room to the dining room and upstairs music dancing area was superb. The management was on site to make sure that every detail was performed. Rehearsal dinner: we hosted an intimate dinner with our families ahead of our wedding weekend. With just ten of us, Heather and team created a beautiful cocktail hour and dinner in the Jefferson Library and adjoining Governor's Room. What a perfect evening - our families could relax and enjoy each other's company followed by a delicious dinner. We did not have to worry much about anything - planning the menu was a breeze. Dinner was delicious, the ambiance was perfect, such a seamless night!
