My husband and I were running errands in the area, and we decided to try Coal Vines for an early Saturday dinner. We were so glad that we did! This is a cozy Italian eatery with a vintage charm. The service was excellent, and the food was absolutely delicious! Our server was kind, attentive, and offered several suggestions. My husband said the pizza crust was one of the best he’s ever tasted. Note: Keep your eyes open when looking for the restaurant, as it’s a little tucked away between retail storefronts. But it has plenty of easy parking available! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Meatballs

It has been years since I’ve had Coal Vines, and this was my first visit to the Southlake location. Very quaint and inviting ambience inside with low light and tabletop candles - somewhat noisy but nice atmosphere. Complimentary zucchini chips were great. Spinach salad was also very good, but would prefer more pear and walnuts and less Gorgonzola, as it is VERY Gorgonzola heavy between the cheese and dressing itself. Pizza was probably the best I’ve had in a long time! Sauce had a perfect flavor, high-quality cheese and the crust has thin, but substantial enough to not be soggy like some neopolitan styles can be. Service was attentive and friendly. Will absolutely come back - I prefer this pizza to the other local options. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $50–100 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Such a wonderful dinner spot with the family. The atmosphere was wonderful. Our waiter made some really good recommendations. We ordered half chicken bacon BBQ/meat lovers and a full veggie pizza. The flavors were so good, the crust was just right to where you didn’t feel bloated after eating! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50

Great pizza 🍕, Caprese salad and Cesar salad were very good, calamari was a bit overcooked but flavorful, the chicken bacon ranch and the artichoke pizzas were spot on , good medium crust, our waitress Sarah was very helpful
Restaurant had a great vibe a buzz. Everything we ate was delicious. Bartender was efficient and quick with good conversation. No liquor license here fyi. Just beer and wine. Cheese sticks were on point. I had the meatball sub and it was awesome. Meatballs were amazing pizza was on point and huge. The zucchini app they bring it was delicious. Had a nice bottle of wine and a great evening
Not sure what happened but Coal Vines was always a family favorite but the last two visits in the past year were terrible. The food seems to be processed meaning microwaved/ premade frozen. Nothing seemed fresh cooked. I compared it to cruise ship quality. The photo shows eggplant, one of the 4 entrées that we ordered, now I’m Italian and cook eggplant often and I know the difference in fresh cooked and frozen. So disappointed, we won’t be returning. This seems to be a common occurrence with some of our favorite Resturants since Covid 🫤 Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30
Love this place. Coal fired pizza is outstanding. Don't live close enough to get here more often. They have weekly pizza specials. No mixed drinks, but a decent selection of beer and wine.

Great first experience at Coal Vines. Hannah was a fantastic server, doing a great job at detailing some of their local brews and unique menu items. My wife and I really enjoyed the pizza! We had a simple pepperoni. The crust was soft on the inside and just a touch crispy on the outside. The pizza had a good flavor with a touch of sweetness in the sauce. We also really enjoyed the fried and seasoned zucchini chips they bring to every table. Check them out on Thursday nights around 6:30 if you want to enjoy the pizza with live music! All in all I heartily recommend this place!
