I visited Coral Reef restaurant several times with my wife, during my stay at Beruwala. The location is superb, with tables on the beach about 10 feet from the waters edge at high tide. The sunset was to die for. In all cases, the service was impeccable and the food excellent. Congratulations to Sam and the team for such great attention to detail, and to his wife and fellow chefs for top quality food. Very good luck for the future, Sam. 🤠 Oh yes, and a large (but harmless) monitor lizard just wandered right past our table one lunchtime. What a treat.

I went in with zero expectations ! The flavours are authentic and vibrant, a testament to the freshness of the ingredients used. Their Rice and Curry dishes are a culinary masterpiece, freshly prepared and bursting with authentic flavours. Each bite was a delightful experience, perfectly complemented by their exceptional service. The staff's attention to detail and warm hospitality made our meal even more enjoyable. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a local top-quality dining experience near the Cinnamon Bey Hotel. Their Rice and Curry are not to be missed!!

Coral Reef Sea Food Restaurant is a definite must if you’re staying nearby, we ate here many times and all of the fish dishes we had were super fresh and delicious. Don’t sit in your hotel, get out, eat on the beach, enjoy the view and food! Sam and his staff are welcoming, friendly and can’t do enough for you 😁

We visited this restaurant in 2018 when it was just a couple of random tables on the beach amd a very eager man wanting to build a business. We went back today after 6 years, and although im slightly sad that the little shop area he had in thr entrance is gone (we bought a few very special souvenirs from there in 2018) but also very happy to see he now has a thriving restaurant, with the same quality of food and service. Prices have gone up considerably in 6 years (still crazy cheap compared to UK or Europe) but this is something we have noticed all over the island, but the freshness and quality of food served here is unbeatable. The fact that they dont automatically charge you a service fee (pet hate of mine) also says alot about the establishment. We arrived near closing time, but this wasnt a problem, and we were served with no rush or pressure. So happy to see this place is still going!!

Amazing restaurant by the beachside. The food was great and the beer cheap! Very happy to have lunch in such an amazing beach! It is very worth it come to the beach and have a meal here for a very good price with great service 😀

I had prawn curry and rice which was very good. My wife had the vegetables noodles. Also very good. Would very much recommend this restaurant. Good friendly service

Best seafood soup I’ve had in my life. Friendly waiters, fantastic view. Lobster caught in the morning, and tasted great.

The seafood is so fresh and direct from the sea and taste fabulous. When I said I couldn’t find a tuktuk going back, the owner even offered me a free drop to my hostel. He is such a nice person.

My review below was from last year. We returned this year for New Year with our daughters, and our daughters enjoyed Sams restaurant as much as we do !! The location, the food is amazing. Sam is so very helpful and accommodating. You can order your food the day before for the next day, for the freshest Lobster!! Our fresh Lobster was amazing, The Coral fish was incredible. We cannot forget Sam's wife and family cooking such great food with a smile. All the staff there are so welcoming. Already looking forward to one day enjoying a cold beer , god food and enjoying the most wonderful view... "Food was fantastic and fresh, great service, not pushy and very helpful. Amazing location. Ordered Lobster and Crab for tomorrow.....can't wait!!" Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
