COTE Korean Steakhouse is a Michelin-starred establishment located in the heart of New York City. As the name suggests, the restaurant specializes in Korean-style steak and barbecue. The ambiance is modern and swanky, with dim lighting and secluded booths that provide an intimate dining experience. The interior design is hip and elegant, with a sleek bar area and plenty of seating options. The price range at COTE is on the higher end, but the quality of the food and service justifies the cost. One of the standout dishes is the Butcher's Feast, which includes four cuts of beef, two rice cakes, and two mushrooms, all cooked on the grill. The wagyu and marinated galbi are particularly delicious. The feast also comes with a variety of small plates, including classic and perilla leaf kimchi, soy paste sauce, spicy radishes, sesame okra, pickled cauliflower, scallion salad, lettuce for making lettuce wraps with some of the cooked beef, a bowl of rice, two types of soup, and an egg souffle. For dessert, try the vanilla soft serve with a soy caramel sauce. In addition to the food, COTE offers a variety of cocktails, soft drinks, and wines. The "Melody" cocktail, made with raspberries, is highly recommended. The restaurant also has outdoor seating options, perfect for enjoying a meal on a warm summer night. The service at COTE is fantastic, with servers cooking all of the meat for you and continuously clearing dishes as you finish them. Overall, COTE Korean Steakhouse is a fine dining spot that delivers on both food and atmosphere. It may be on the pricier side, but the quality of the experience is worth it.
