Went to grab a to-go breakfast this morning because I had an appointment to go to. Normally the food is always excellent and the service is great until today. I ordered the $7.99 breakfast that has two scrambled eggs with cheese mixed in, your choice of ham or bacon, and your choice of potatoes which would be home fries or hash browns, & I chose hash browns. You also get your choice of bread, which I chose white toast. By far this is the most disappointing breakfast that I have ever gotten, And because I ordered to go, I was charged an extra $0.50 which is complete b*******! I have never went anywhere and been charged extra, because I'm ordering something to go! And this is what I got for $9 and some change. The scrambled eggs didn't have cheese mixed in It had a slice of cheese laid on top of them, and it wasn't even melted, when I ordered sausage I thought it would be sausage patties or sausage links. Instead, they were going to take chunks of sausage and mix it in with the eggs. I got what they called ham, which definitely was not ham. 😭🤔😡 Then I got the smallest order of hash browns I have ever gotten there and they were just sloppily laid up in there All on top of the eggs, and not even a full portion. Very disappointed today. If I would have had time I would have been back in there complaining and asking them to remake my breakfast or order something else. But like I said I had an appointment to go to. Breakfast was very good. Eggs, hash browns, French toast, sausage and sandwich were all perfectly cooked and flavorful. Service was outstanding. The place was quite busy but there was plenty of staff and the food came out quickly. Definitely going back again & again. We have not been here in a very long time. Service and food are still great! Nothing has change much and you seat yourself. It’s not a big place. First off KIM was amazing! My granddaughter was tired and upset we ordered pancakes and she made sure to make Minnie Mouse and be out it out quick to help with her!!!! First time at Longwood Country Kitchen and we really enjoyed it. We ordered Country Fried Steak with 2 eggs, cup of fresh fruit & a biscuit ($7.99), Eggs Benedict with Home fries ($7.99) and 1 slice of French Toast with a side of bacon ($5.50). Everything was prepared well, the country fried steak had good flavor and I could cut it with my fork. The ham on the Eggs Benedict was also nice, lean and flavorful. This is a decent sized cafe where you seat yourself. Service is good and friendly. The prices here are pretty awesome too. The breakfast menu has just about everything you could want for breakfast. Normally I don't do rating because I tend to not think about it but decent food with better service.if I have a choice for my crew to eat for breakfast this is definition of the choice,I prefer Cafe like this where food feel organic and people be patient then having drive thru that is rushed and often uninspiring. Solid 4 all day long. The food was tasty. The service was very good. The atmosphere still has that "hometown diner" feel to it. And the prices are extremely reasonable. I just found this place by a friend's recommendation and I'm glad that I stopped in. I'll definitely be making a follow up visit to make sure that it still jibes well. The cook made my steak and eggs perfectly today! 11/15/22; no steak sauce required! Small diner with family diner atmosphere. The wait staff is kind and hospitable. I've enjoyed several visits over the last month. If you want a really good breakfast at prices that might beat eating at home, walk in to Country Kitchen and have a seat!
