I ate here for a weekday (Monday) lunch. The service was quick, not unfriendly and the food was brought to the counter after about 8 minutes. Definitely prepared fresh. With a 15% tip and a drink (drink is extra $2 plus change) the total was just under $20 which is not too bad considering current price inflation and that I got the steak and shrimp combo. I will definitely return and try it again. Atmosphere: Bama themed which is a plus. The place was not busy at all. It reminded me of when Ichiban was in their old location near the old Bama Bowl but with more seating. I would give it 3&1/2 stars due to the sticky table I sat at. Restaurant overall wasn’t unclean, in fact it seemed to be cleaned pretty well. This place definitely competes with the other Japanese places around…plus they have bubble tea. the worker taking the orders does not understand english well. i went in and ordered fried rice and received fries. i realized the mistake after i left and quickly returned. the worker took the fries back out of our bag, and did not throw them away just set them on her desk. the fries container had the yum yum sauce( which was an extra $1) and she proceeded to not give me the sauce with the fried rice and began arguing over the sauce. her attitude was very unprofessional, and never apologized for the mix up. I ordered to-go steak with veggies and noodles, the rangoon, and a crimson lava tea…and it was all delicious! Seriously, the noodles were cooked just right, the steak was cooked to the exact temperature I requested and had excellent flavor. The rangoon was fresh and delicious, and the tea was five stars. I almost didn’t order because of some local reviews saying the “yum yum sauce didn’t taste right” or “save your money and go to {insert local chain restaurant}” but I’m sooo glad that I did! I suggest keeping in mind when reading reviews that some people have only ever eaten at the places local to them, and think that chain restaurants are how food is supposed to be made. The nastiest thing I have ever had In my life. And I’m very easy to please. Never ate here before but seen someone with some and I love Japanese and will eat just about anything 😂 so off the bat I spent over $30 thinking It would be amazing. I immediately spit It out as soon as I started chewing so did my brother. Has an awful old taste? And the chicken was dry. Food is really great and the portions can definitely be split into 2, maybe even 3 meals. I got the Tofu and Vegetable Hibachi entree, didn’t realize the plates came with both Lo Mein and Fried Rice. Will definitely be returning!
