I've been going to The Custard Cup since I was a little girl, sixty-six+ years ago. I always try to visit this wonderful ice cream store, when I'm in town. I hope it remains the same because it's the jewel of Danville! It's a Danville INSTITUTION!!

Review Date: July 4th, 2016 Voted the Best Ice Cream in Illinois in 2015! My 5/5 Rating would have to agree. A friend recommended Jarling’s and it has been on my list for awhile. They have only two locations; Danville, IL and Champaign, IL. I am usually never around these areas, so it has taken me awhile for my travels to take me near Jarlings… and good gosh, it was worth the drive! I have mostly visited ‘ice cream’ shacks but this one seems to use custard in their ice cream. Not sure what that entails, but good god, was this ice cream fantastic. Easily places in the Top 5 of my Ice Cream list. If you love ice cream, you owe it to yourself (and your family… and friends) to try this place!

Really enjoyed the custard. Didn't care for ordering through the little window near the drive through, or having to pay cash because the machine was down. But I had a SnowStorm and it was very good.

Busy, but they were prompt on getting the order out. Ordered a small Oreo and Mocha Snowstorm and 2 quarts to go

I stop at the custard cup every time I'm in Danville. Its a little walk-up-to-the-window-and-order type of place with no indoor seating. The employees have all been friendly & helpful. Their sundaes & chocolate sodas are very good. I appreciate that they use hot fudge on the sundaes instead of the cheaper option of chocolate syrup that many stores use. They also give you an option of which type of nuts to have on the sundae instead of just slopping on the old standby of peanuts. Their prices aren't bad, it's just that their serving sizes are a bit on the small side for the drinks. There was a lot of air space between the top of the cup & my chocolate soda. It's a nice break on a hot summer day & definitely worth a stop. One thing, though, make sure they've given you everything in your order. Multiple times I've left without receiving something I paid for.

Great ice cream/custard for a great price! My mom is a Danville native and whenever we drive through in the summer this is a must! Happy that it is still there and providing new memories!

Been here twice. A little pricey for an ice cream shop however the ice cream is good. They have there homemade hand dipped ice cream and happy hour, I believe 4 to 6. If your in the area check them out. They are Not open all year round. So try and see them at least once and let your taste buds decides.

Took my son there after shopping tonight and we both got the snickers parfait. VERY delicious and the young man that waited on us made them look very professional and appetizing. Great service! We'll definitely be back!
