A nice relaxing place, lots of seating. Friendly staff, a lot of cake and snack choices. Huge number if cold drinks and beers and of course barista coffee. Most people will be waiting for a plane I suppose. Aircon and plenty of space, we just came for a coffee and to look at any planes, however it's $2 an hour for parking.

Oh my goodness the Reuben Sandwich was so yummy. Although displayed pricing of the cabinet food items should be in place.. Loved the food! Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

After 10mins waiting to order and another 10 to receive, I got an overpriced very disappointing coffee with sugar. Since I drink coffee without sugar and ordered without I brought it back after one taste and left as there was no time for another 10min wait for another one. Seems very unorganized and slow. No coffees for me at the Gisborne airport anymore. Go somewhere else or enjoy your coffee in the plane!

Nice airport and Cafe the cake was excellent and the coffee good. Sadly given takeaway cups as that was all they offered even though cups were stacked on the espresso machine.

The hummingbird cake is one of the best I've ever had! The coffee is good and the staff are friendly. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Extremely surprised and disappointed to see our coffees were given to us in a throw-away cup rather than a mug, even though we were sitting in to drink them. We weren’t even asked if we wanted it in or take-away: the drinks were just given to us in disposable cups. I would have used my keep cup had I known. It’s just lazy really - what’s their excuse?
