The Local, a cocktail bar located in Bien Hoa, is a hidden gem among the many bars in the area. The drinks are made from fresh ingredients, giving them a unique flavor that sets them apart from other bars in the area. The staff is very friendly and fun with some being able to speak basic English, which makes it a foreigner-friendly place. The bartenders are very skilled, capable of making house specials that are both tasty and balanced. They also offer a cigar bar, where customers can purchase imported cigars and even smoke them in the house, if desired. The interior is littered with American aesthetics, including vintage photos, posters, and bright neon signs, giving it a speakeasy feel. Music is a mix of Jazz and Bossa Nova and (at the time of writing) Christmas songs, making it the perfect getaway from the typical Vietnamese dance clubs playing vinahouse. If you're looking to try something new and unique while on vacation, or are a native in the area, The Local is the perfect place to stop by. Highly recommended for all!
