We tried this place one night for an early dinner. It was located in Guadalupe Mercado outdoor plaza. We entered and you walk up to the counter to order your food. I ordered the Chile Verde which was fantastic. My partner order the Carne Asada Burrito which was delicious. After you order you wait and they brought the food out to our table. The food is prepared when your order and is hot and fresh. The Tortillas were just fantastic. We also ordered some Guacamole which was very tasty. Be warned they speak very little English. They are very helpful and friendly. The restaurant was clean. The restrooms are shared out in the plaza area so you will have to ask for the key. We will return again soon.

Like an authentic Mexican Country Restaurant, unpretentious, very cheap in what appears to be a Mexican Neighborhood in side of a Mexican Mercado or Market Place as if in side of a fort !
They seem to be serving mostly Mexican population and don’t even serve regular American Coffee.
Food quality is good and authentic!
You even have to buy the water in bottles!.
Their Guacamole and Hot Sauce is very good and authentic.
Don’t expect good coffee at all, that is unfortunate.

Del Yaqui is a perfect family restaurant set in the city of Guadalupe inside the Yaqui community. Great food, genuinely kind people, in a nice, clean, sit-down family setting. All this at a reasonable price. And, they are open later than most other Mexican restaurants on Sunday evening.
Recently, a friend told me of his experience at Del Yaqui, so I went on his recommendation. I was not disappointed. I ordered the chile verde plate, which came with rice and beans and two tortillas. The pork was perfectly tender, the green sauce was delicious, and the dinner was served hot. My friend ordered a meal with two tacos and the rice and beans as well. Finally, we also split a full bowl of the Caldo de Pollo (chicken soup), which came with its own tortillas as well. The soup was phenomenal. I absolutely love good soup, and this was a joy to eat. All the food came in good portions as well.
The staff was very kind and explained the entrées, as well as making sure to accurately take our orders. Even though this is a counter-order restaurant, they still served the food to the table and graciously helped us when we had requests. The prices likewise were reasonable. Most meals were right at $11 each.
If you are near the town of Guadalupe, do yourself a favor and try this little gem, Del Yaqui! You won't be disappointed!

Loved their food! Had a carne asada burrito, didn't seem like much but the taste was amazing! Very friendly staff and clean place. My husband had a chorizo with egg burrito and said it was the bomb! Will definitely visit again, gotta try their tacos and tortas.
The place was a bit hard to find since it's in a little mercado (shopping center) type of place, but if you go in from the library side it's on the left hand side, you can't miss it it has lots of decor outside the restaurant.
Tacos were authentic and delicious!

Carne Asada
One of the best places to eat authentic mexican food in the phx/tri-city area & its at the Mercado in Old town Guadalupe so you could do some shopping at the tienditas (little stores) while you're there!
Great carne asada and soups. I liked both their salsas. The green has the ability to sneak up on you with it's spice. The soups look fresh and are filled with big tasty vegetables.

Great little place- very clean & super friendly staff. I ordered their tamale combination plate. Their beans & rice were excellent but the tamales were a bust. Great flavor in the meat but really, really dry. I threw out over half of each because it was too hard to eat 😕 I will absolutely be back to try some other things tho!!
Food was great. The person working the register also brought us our food, and was very polite and knowledgeable. Great lengua tacos for any tongue lovers out there!
