I have nothing but praise for DIP. Our brief experience here has left me aghast and scrambling for words to describe how great the food and service was. Every bite and chew was just followed by a very prolonged "mmmmmmm" and "ugh!" And the occassional nodding of the head. The amuse bouche was served while waiting for our order and when the server politely asked if were okay with fresh tuna, my mind replied "I dont really eat raw fish" but I was immediately converted after taking my first bite. The potato causa sitting on sweet beetroot sauce and topped with tender, fresh tuna was just incredible. For someone who doesnt enjoy raw fish and beetroot, I enjoyed it quite a lot. The fish was void of any fishy taste and all you can savor was its sweetness and tenderness that felt almost melting butter. We had the Nigiri Platter and the Spicy Crabmeat Causa along with some of the gelato they serve poolside but opted to have it inside. Not only were these very visually impressive, we enjoyed every moment savoring each bite. Again, the morsels of Tuna and Salmon on the nigiri was butter soft and sweet and every bit of the crabmeat causa was an explosion of flavor! It is always very difficult to describe great food and this was the only problem I had with DIP. Im afraid I cannot put into words how great the food was complemented by the warm and topnotch service of their staff. Chef Daniel and his team should be proud of this gem of a restaurant. We came down to DIP just for a quick snack but we left with great admiration for their amazing food and outstanding service. We had a really great time at this restaurant that we needed to come back. Food was amazing and they have a cocktail mixing area where they teach and let you mix your own! Very great experience and Worth going out of your way for if you’re in Cebu. The service staff especially Rex, really took good care of us, very attentive, hospitable and made our special day extra special. Kudos to the chef and the rest of the team. Will definitely be back! This is by far the best restaurant I've ever dined in 2023. The staff were accommodating, polite, and heeded carefully to our orders - truly a sign of well-trained staff. We got a couple of dishes from their menu but Acevichado Maki and Arroz Con Mariscos Batayaki stood out. Both dishes represent what Dip Nikkie is all about... We had a great time at Dip, a Nikkei restaurant in Sheraton Mactan Resort. The entire team there was super attentive to our needs: Chef Daniel recommended the ceviche and even offered us a complimentary dish (our only regrets was we didn’t inform him about our dietary requirements and couldn’t indulge). Bartender Jun served up hot chocolate even though it wasn’t on the menu And servers Mekkel and Janeth made such an impression on our 20 month old daughter that she was looking for them bout during the dinner. Most restaurant make getting reservation easy but not this one. After calling and texting them they ask for email address via text. After sending email address they never reply so need to call them.. After calling they claim they never received the email address. After they send a text asking for email address as they want a deposit to confirm reservation. Then later send an email that it's OK reservation is confirmed. After checkin at hotel during lunch we asked if we can move reservation from 6 to 8pm but then the reservation doesn't even exist! What a treatment during valentines day. Lunch was good and the waiter staff here is good. The management however is a big question mark!
