Me and my buddy went here with a couple of beer bottles as we did a few years ago but they haven't let us dine in because we didn't BRING A TOURIST! We just wanted to have lunch but They said we had to wait till 4pm. Don't do this to locals. We were not even from Kurunagala. If we knew that we should bring some tourists with us we would never even be bothered visiting the place. Then we went to a nearby hotel on the other side of the lake round which was more than happy to welcome us. Just disappointed.

One of the best resturant to eat near the Kurunegala lake circle. There is good space and the food is very tasty. There is a good parking space right next to it. Facilities have been provided even for large groups in a very beautiful environment.

Chicken Pot Biriyani
We had the buffet for 1,200 rupees (plus 10% service charge that they tell you when you get the bill). The place is basic but has clean toilets. You go there for the location and views over the lake. The service is acceptable. The food was okay: limited selection. Highlight is probably the fresh fruits. They have western food and some rice and curry. Lots of the tables were reserved for the tour companies. While overpriced for what it is, it is still cheap by western standards. Go if you want something simple, with a nice view. They have a cafe by the lake and the restaurant is indoors, so you do not get a view while eating.

Subject: Urgent Complaint Regarding Loss of 71,000 LKR due to Lack of Security Measures
I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction and disappointment with Diya Dahara due to a recent incident that resulted in a significant financial loss for us. On [20/12/23], We encountered a critical security lapse like no door locks and camaras that led to the theft of 71,000 LKR from our personal belongings. Never trust rooms without locks.

Tasty food but the drinks are exorbitantly priced. Sprite is priced at Rs 250, and a mixed fruit juice is Rs 500. However the restaurant is beautiful with a scenic view of the lake.
We had the nasi goreng, devilled sausage, veggie fried rice and some mix veggies. We enjoyed every bit of it. With the views of the lake and a beautiful breeze, we had a lovely family lunch.
