Nice spacious rooftop terrace with wonderful views. Good atmosphere!
The food wasn't bad but really not the main attraction here

Great meal accompanied by beautiful sunset. Lovely salads and lamb, and fabulous paratha type layer bread they recommended. Nice bottle of Uzbek fizz too. As good as anywhere I’ve eaten in 3 weeks here, with bonus of spectacular Kaylon views.

Important for all people who like to drink beer...
We were just there to have two beers in the late afternoon. When we ordered our bill, we experienced our blue miracle...
We should pay more for it than ever before in Uzbekistan. We asked for the menu which also had all sorts of prices on it except the price of beer!!
We asked for the boss, but that didn't work either.
So we have no choice but to express our displeasure in this way.
Be careful and be sure to drink your sundowner at one of the many other beautiful places in this area !!!!!

FOR ALL WHO DRINK BEERS!!!
Go somewhere else to drink beer and enjoy the sunset view, here is definitely NOT a good choice.
We were there having some beer and waiting for the sunset, but beer was not on the menu, so we asked the waitor, said they have bottled one and draft one, imaging that it can't be so expensive (naive!!!) so we ordered both. And the huge surprise came at the moment we paying the bill, 40.000 and 50.000 EACH!!! This is DOUBLE even TRIPLE the price in some other places, we were so astonishing that deciding we must write this review here to warn all the others!
BE EXTRA CAREFUL!!! GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!
(seeing that someone just experienced this recently we were so regret not reading these reviews before going.)

Don’t be misled by and negative comments. It is a very authentic and nice place. As soon as we came a chief welcome to us and explained what he is cooking right now. We get freshly made salats, soups, manty with pumpkin, etc. Everething was delicious. The prices are good, much better than in Old Bukhara and other places. We would defenetly come again.
This is a tourist trap for group tours. It was glaringly obvious so we only ordered tea. The waiters were rude and pushy trying to sell overpriced beer without disclosing the price. It's not in the menu because its 35000 . Toilets cost 3000 som. It's a disgrace. View is fine.

PLEASE DON'T GO. Just don't. We ended up in this place because it was 3 pm already, we didn't had lunch, and there were no other open restaurants around - so we decided to go here without even checking the reviews. So we enter and there is this guy which is talking with one friend and just ignores us for a while. Then eventually we get a table and we order. Everything we order is not available, so eventually we ask what do they actually have and we take the less-bad options from the five-six choices we actually have (on a ten pages menu). In the meanwhile we decide to go and look at the reviews online and start preparing for the worst. After something like half an hour the food starts to arrive, which is kinda of ridiculous as we were the only customers. "Luckily" while we were waiting for the food we got entertained by the "wonderful" karaoke coming from the room next to us where two kids were singing something in their language, screaming, and totally out of tune. The fried dumplings were actually pretty good, everything else was just terrible. The meat with vegetables was just a bunch of cabbage drown in a red broth with three small thin slices of chewy meat on top. The cheese and the potatoes somsa were kinda of fine, the meat one was disgusting. We also got to see the terrace of which everyone else talk in their review (we visited this place in winter so we ate inside) and I have to say that not even the view is that good. We ended up paying something like ten euros and even this is WAY too much for what we got. While going away we saw a Chinese guy coming in and we felt extremely sorry for him. Also we got a huge headache thanks to the singing kids. DON'T GO.
Our recent visit to Dolon Restaurant in Bukhara left us utterly disappointed. The menu was misleading, the service was poor, and we felt scammed.
We ordered the assorted Samsa expecting 6 pieces (2 beef, 2 lamb, 2 pumpkin) for 40,000som, as shown in the picture. However, we received Samsa with onion filling, and they charged us 80,000som instead. The shrimp bowl turned out to be lamb, and the chicken in sauce was nothing like the picture. (x1 Samsa costs 10,000som but x6 apparently costs 80,000som?)
To make matters worse, the waiter was pushy with beer, refused to disclose the price, and claimed it was cheap. The final bill was exorbitant, and when we addressed the issue, we were met with rudeness.
Also note there is a different menu for Russian or English speakers, this was discovered when I took into my own hands to clarify pricing, and could not find our meals on the other menu.
Avoid Dolon Restaurant; it's a scam. Look elsewhere for an honest and enjoyable dining experience in the area.
