8.26.23 update: Yet another fantastic experience at DC's! Tacos were stupendous. The most authentic experience you will find in College Station! ‐------------------ Fantastic experience @ Don Chente's!! Huge price to quality ratio. See my picture...freshly cooked meats, fantastic salsa, fresh tortillas and friendly service. Highly recommend the stop! This place is really Mexican for real, no tex mex stuff. I got 2 asada tacos and 2 pastor tacos for like 2.75$ each and 2.45$ each. So far this place had the best street tacos in a restaurant I've had in college station. Highly recommend coming and the food is decently priced. Although music was a little loud. Today 2/16/2024 I visited Here coming from Katy, Texas and the Food and the Service is a Perfect 100!! I hope there can hopefully be a Location in Katy, Texas one Day!! Our Waitress was absolutely Sweet, Kind, very Patient and gave us the best Restaurant Experience Ever!! I don’t remember Her Name, But we ordered Fried Tilapia, Shrimp Cocktails, and Bacon Wrapped Shrimp and the Food was EPIC!! The salsas were AMAZING. The Chips and Dip was AMAZING!! The Atmosphere, the EVERYTHING, was AWESOME!! Yes!!! Great little Mexican restaurant with outstanding food! More on the authentic side than tex-mex, which I love. Started off with Fajita de Res Torta and Agua de Sandia to wash it down with....amaaaaaazing! Will be back to try other dishes for sure! 4.5. Would have been 5 if the service was better. However, the food was amazing and we will definitely go back. Very clean and legit Mexican food, not American mexican spin off. Big portions of terrible cheap taste, overpriced, do not recommend. I went there looking to eat a good sopa de mariscos and for $17 Dlls what I got was 3 shrimp , imitation crab and a bunch of carrots and potatoes. Birria tacos are a must try. Crunchy tacos with slow braised beef. The consume broth is very flavorful. 5/5 The other beef tacos are great 4/5 Fish Ceviche tostada was good after putting valentina on 4/5. Chips and salsa are great, salsa looks like it has broth in it 4/5. Service is exceptional 5/5
