The food was exceptionally made props to the chef, a 5 star rating and at an affordable price, talk about fine dining that is inclusive! The waiters and waitresses were absolutely warm and friendly and to top it off they took nice pictures of at the place. Overall the place has a great to it would highly recommend it. The restaurant is located in the Pearls mall, with a fantastic view of the surrounding restaurants and cafes. The restaurant is open and spacious with a modern feel and look. If you are a vegan or Asian vegetarian (no meat or eggs or dishes made with eggs) then the options are limited. All the pastas are made with eggs. The beverages took about 15 minutes to arrive and the starter another 15 minutes. The starter, a mezze platter was good, serving about 3 people. The food is amazing. We love visiting Doppio Zero when we go to Umhlanga for holiday. You can order anything on the menu knowing it'll be delicious - breakfast, lunch, dinner or desert. Gorgeous restaurant with excellent food and service, they have an extensive menu and you will enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner here. Today I had the poached eggs with fried halloumi on ciabatta toast for breakfast. Absolutely incredible. The staff go out of their way to welcome you and host you. Who doesn’t love a good Bennie! The options are amazing at Doppio Zero. And Guess what ? You don’t have to wait for the weekend to enjoy there delicious food. We stopped by on a Monday morning for a breakfast treat before work . It’s a good spot to work from for the day. Do your business meetings and know your client will be getting good food. A lovely restaurant. We were greeted with smiles and seated as soon as we arrived. We had a look at the breakfast menu and placed our orders, which to our surprise arrived so fast. It looked and tasted good. I loved the added touch of gud morning on my coffee which was an unexpected surprise. Our waiter was very nice and friendly. There's a little bakery section as well which looked so nice, if you'd like to enjoy a slice of cake or coffee perhaps. I hope that it was just the day of the week that we visited this restaurant on but there were a large number of items on the menu that were not available due to lack of stock. That said, the pizza was really good, as were the cocktails that we were able to order. Would I go back? This centre has so many restaurant options and it is central to the Umhlanga strip so I would possibly return at some stage, even if it’s just to see if the issues have been rectified, but not anytime soon. Situated in the Pearls, a stones throw away from the Pier, Promenade and Lighthouse, the Doppio here upholds the same standard set by the ones in Gauteng. Interior design of Doppio restaurants is always perfect for that Instagram story post. The server we had (Thando) was friendly and accommodating and even though it was quite busy, made sure we were taken care of as quite a large party with more specific order requests. Our order came out in drips and drabs but everything we requested was done correctly so we chalked it up to how busy it was. The food is great and offers value for money with their portions being reasonable. Definitely give the cocktail menu and desserts a try. The area it is in seems safe enough to go for the street parking. You can arrive without a booking, however booking via the website is recommended as during the dinner/lunch rush in the touristy times of the year you may find yourself looking at the other options in the area if you do not want to wait for a table. Had the most amazing first time experience with the Doppio team. Warm and Friendly smiles from the moment we entered. Chilled atmosphere and great meal variety.
