It is the best place near San Carlos Museum of History. Degust perfectly cooked rolls, bacon and cobb salads at this bar. You can share tasty pancakes, cinnamon rolls and waffles with your friends and have a nice time here. At Drakes, visitors may drink delicious coffee martini or good whiskey. Try great espresso or delicious lemonade. Musicians play live music in the evening. A number of reviewers say that the staff is hospitable at this place. The food and service were fine, but it was a pretty forgettable experience. There are many better restaurants in the local area, so I'm unlikely to try Drakes again. I fully support paying staff a decent wage, but this should be included in the advertised price of the meal, not tacked onto menu prices as a 3.25% "living wage". Fairly mid to average place for food. Went here for brunch and was told a 40-45 min wait for 2. The waffle was underdone, and I found it strange that the meal came with exactly one half a piece of sourdough bread (lightly toasted, but still more done than the waffle). For the price, I honestly could have gone to a Denny's and received the same meal for cheaper and less of a wait time. I don't need to return to this one.
