Loved my lunch with a friend at Eatopia! Absolutely loved the lamb tibs, and definitely get the vegetarian platter with it. The baklava and tea were perfect for dessert. Yum! Seble the owner is cool too. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Outstanding dining experience. From the delicious salad dressing to delicately flavored vegetable dishes to meat with mouthwatering sauces and the delicate Ijera this was such an amazing dining experience that we will be bringing our Adventures in Dining group to enjoy this unique cuisine. The owner/chef was very gracious, asking about dietary restrictions and degrees of spicyness one could handle and explaining the menu items. We had dinner here last night, and the food was absolutely amazing! I love how buttery the food is, so soft and flavorful. Melts in your mouth. We had vegetable Samosa, Gored Gored and traditional Kitfo. I love the traditional Injera, so few places have the dark one these days. Everything was perfectly done, and traditional. SERVICE: hands down the best service received in a long time. The waitress was very attentive to make sure we enjoyed each course. The chef also made her way out of the kitchen to confirm dietary restrictions, if any, and then ensured she would make a delicious meal. AND SHE DID. After dinner she shared how she prepared some of the dishes and expressed her gratitude to be able to serve us. AMAZING!!! FOOD: ohhhhhhhmygosh. The food was flavorful, delicious and made to order. Tibs with awaze beef was juicy and perfectly cooked. The meat was tender and the sauce had just the right amount of spice. Sooo good. The sambusa with beef was the best sambusa I have ever eaten!!!! This place is great. The food is fantastic. All good is made from scratch. The cook is so nice. She came out to make sure we knew how to eat the meal since this was our first time trying Ethiopian. If I could give 10 stars I would!!! I was going to stop at langano restaurant but I am grateful I stopped here. Road trip sucks when you have to find an Ethiopian restaurant and the places you find really don't know how to cook. This is by far the best restaurant I have ever eaten from. I grew up in Ethiopia so I know what Ethiopian food should taste like. Thank you!!! Everyone can make meat based food taste good but vegan. Denver is like the capitol of Ethiopian food in this state and maybe this nation. We just had the best experience. I forgot to ask the amazing person serving our food her name … but she was amazing. Gave us so much education about the food we were eating, how it was sourced, and how it was prepared. And that food. Was like true comfort. Thank you.

I’ve had a good amount of Ethiopian around the Denver area and this has easily been the best one ! The waitress we had was also the main chef ! She was so kind, sweet, and genuine! She talked to us about how no preservatives or canned food is used at all - and we truly tasted it in the food that was brought out ! All the injera here (the main spongey-like bread) is gluten free (as it traditionally is but not every place around town is). Also found out injera is one of the most nutrient dense grains out there - super good for you! Yes, the food does take some time to come out (good fresh food should!) but not unreasonable - probably waited about 25-30 min while drinking from their fully stocked bar. We had 3 entrees (vegetarian, lamb, and a sizzling beef dish) for 4 people and that was the perfect amount. Will definitely be back to try some of their other meals! We came here in a big group and enjoyed what I would consider as one of the top 10 meals I've ever had. They make everything from the freshest ingredients and you can taste it in ever bite. I had the shiro tegamino and I was stunned by both the presentation (coals heating a cast iron bowl) and the flavor. The portions are amazing. We had a wonderful chat with the owner about how this stew takes 5 days to make and the injera takes 4 days. You can taste how they don't use any frozen ingredients, the flavors just meld wonderfully. When you come, it may take some time before the food comes out, but with that wait is quality that leapfrogs over other Ethiopian places I've been. Sit there, visit with your friends and family, and the food will be worth the wait. I wish I lived in Denver, this would probably be a weekly visit if I did.
