Meehh. My wife and I both ordered Flank steak medium rare. Both were well done and drowning in oil. None of the staff came to ask if everything was fine... if you sit outside, you basically sit on the sidewalk next to a busy road... So far this week I have eaten almost a lifetimes worth of tacos. El Asadero is and always will be my favorite place to eat in the area. It has a tropical boho atmosphere that I love. I ordered the half portion of the flank steak. It was cooked and seasoned to perfection. The wait staff was very attentive and polite. I can't say enough good things about my experience there. This is our favorite restaurant in Tulum. There are probably trendier spots, but for the sheer amount of tasty food for the price, you can't beat it. The atmosphere is great, the service is great, and the price is right for huge steaks, massive burritos, etc. The ingredients are noticeably fresh, too. Perfectly grilled ribeye steak, grilled asparagus wrapped with carrot, potato wedges fried until crispy. Chips with all sorts sauces for appetizers. I would recommend El Asadero. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We discovered this place by a recommendation of a local. We liked the great service and the tasty food. There are lots of meat options but they offer supreme fish to. The starter is a great selection of spicy and mild creams and sauces with some fresh tacos. We loved the selection of Mexican wines as well. All together for a reasonable price.

I’ve had a different experience than many others apparently…but unfortunately the service needs improvement… this is the second time I’ve been here and the wait times for receiving my first drink is always 30 minutes after sitting and the food almost 50 minutes later…. If the food takes 35+ minutes it should say so on the menu! Some people have places to be!! Btw - we ordered a burger and the ‘Pollo’ platter Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3

Flank steak was something else. Always go one step on the cook of your steak in mexico. Great vibes and beautiful foood. Highly recommend all the fish and meat steaks. Quick service Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $800–900

The food was mediocre. One thing I didn’t like about this place or most steak places in Mexico is that they bleed out their steaks if you know what I’m talking about. They wash out all the blood so when you cut into your steak it almost looks like pork. Takes flavor away. The prices were descent and customer service was good.

The restaurant was one of our highlights in Tulum and we really enjoyed the vegetarian food. The most delicious dish was the vegetarian burger. The food was so good, we’ve had dinner here 2 times.
