Delicious homemade crispy taco dough!! Ordered fish tacos, ceviche, and guacamole. Everything was delicious and fresh. I especially recommend the fish ceviche!!Tacos 150b were the price of one, very small size… I think it's okay to have two at this price and size. Nice music and interior, I’d love to come this restaurant again!! Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4

If you look at the other two-star reviews they all say the same thing.. . OVERPRICED AND TOO SMALL You can see the size of the tacos compared to my hand. It's a joke! At 100 per taco you would need to spend at least 1000 to fill yourself up which is insane because we are in Thailand Sure, San Francisco or London okay but... The restaurant is just greedy. How much does cabbage even cost here? The taste is amazing, the sauces are perfect, the flavor combination and the texture is extremely delicious. Nice presentation and the atmosphere is pretty cozy. The service is very slow. Either they need to make the tacos bigger or reduce the price by 50% in order for me to recommend or come here again Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

A number of us visited this venue on our visit and they did well on getting our food out in a reasonable time. There is a rooftop and also a downstairs seating area. We were upstairs and it looked authentic in the way the decor was. It was a nice space to eat in. The rooftop had views to the beach which was nice and we were able to watch the sunset. We asked for a number of dishes which were shared and the food was reasonable. I have had better Mexican. However, this was still nice. The price was reasonable and is a great venue if dating from the rooftop along with the view. Certainly worth a visit and I will go again. We were pleasantly surprised by El Barrio. We wandered in while looking for a place for dinner and were promptly sat down and treated to a really delicious meal. We ended up ordering more baja tacos because they were so good! Guacamole was decent too. Highly recommend if you need a break from Thai food! Tried half of the menu and it was fine, but not special. The mushroom cheese quesadilla was good but the mushrooms very extremely chewy which I didn’t like. The horchata is okay but I had better. The corn was good! The tacos, which I believe should be the highlight of a Mexican place, were average. The pork taco was chewy, the others had good consistency but weren’t anything special. It's one of my favorite places on Koh Phangan. The food is fantastic, tasty, and very different from anything else on the island. The atmosphere is cozy and warm. I had a craving for some authentic Mexican food and thank god I stumbled upon El Barrio. Mariano was a great host - He really looked after me. The tacos, salsas & ceviche were very tasty. Being a Mezcal & cocktail lover in Thailand can be frustrating. But not tonight! I tried quite a few cocktails and also some Mezcal shots - all were high quality. Basically I was in heaven!
