We enjoyed dinner here very much. The margaritas are good and strong. We had the Mofongo Relleno Mixed plate (shrimp, fish, calamari, and conch) and it was delicious. All the seafood tasted very fresh and was fantastic! The portion sizes are large! We also tried the fish tacos and they were also very good (the sauce was a bit salty). Each entre' could feed two people. We had more food than we could possibly eat. Other reviewers included wait time and flies.. Our wait time for our food was 20-30 minutes. We were seated immediately and our drinks arrived within 5 minutes. For dinner (5pm on Wednesday), the restaurant had plenty of employees working. Other times of the day may vary. The entire dining area is outdoors under a patio on the water. Once our food was served, some flies began to circle us. Overall, not bad. We would definitely eat here again! I don't understand why the negative reviews I read before heading out to this little hidden gem!! I have ZERO complaints. Everything was absolutely amazing from the greetings from Joshua.. the service and, of course, the food!!! The mofongo was absolutely delicious!!! I'll be back for sure!! Thank you, El Cayo!! Very disappointed!!! Over one hour waiting for the children’s meal. It was a kids cheese burger & they finally bring it out well over an hour & its a tiny slider. The lobster turnover was awful. They brought the adults meal way before the children’s meals!!! Another dissatisfaction is that they bring meals scarced out, each meal comes out 20 minutes apart!! Very mad!! We found El cayo restaurant while staying at Fajardo and liked its chill vibe. The food was casual but tasty, especially the mofongo. The staff were really nice and made the whole experience a nice one. Note in weekends the pace gets very busy so it might take a while to get the food. If you want a cool place for yummy comfort food, check out this place. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

We took an elderly couple to dinner there recently. We have been there many times before and knew the service could be slow. Neither the parking lot or restaurant was crowded. Our waitress got our drinks and took our order immediately. About ten minutes later a large group of 20 or more came. Our waitress kept filling our water and was very nice. She was not the groups waitress. After thirty more minutes the group was getting appetizers. Someone came and told us they would be making our dinners soon. We were surprised when our food did not come but the large got theirs. One waiter carried two plates at time to the group. To shorten this story it took us 90 minutes to get our food! It was good but not worth the ridiculous wait. We will not return! Food: 2 Atmosphere: 1

Just to make this real simple. I waited for an hour and a half and never received my food. Of course, I talked to the manager and he stated that it was coming, at the end I got up and told him I was leaving. If I did not even receive my food imagine how bad service was. Well at least I was able to get my hands on some water. I would not recommend this place for nothing. In fact, worse service I have ever had at a restaurant. Management should be a Shame of such horrible service. DO NOT GO TO LOS CAYOS TO EAT, find another restaurant Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3

This place was recommended by hotel staff. It was Sunday night and we were a bit late for dinner. The service was super, they made extra effort and served us. We ordered Pina Coladas and the seafood Monfongo which was fantastic and delicious. It was served with large shrimps, calamares, and lobsters in a delicious butter sauce. The best we ever had. Chicken penne Alfredo was a huge portion and delicious! Atmosphere was great, beautiful view during the daytime. Only thing that lacked a little was the service was a bit slow and they forgot our appetizers. Waitress was very nice though. I would go again. A really beautiful restaurant by the water with amazing service. When they saw it was going to rain they quickly made space for the people eating outside to move to a table under the awning, and I’m so thankful they did that because not long after it poured! The view is stunning, our food was great, and everyone who works there is so personable! Service Dine in Meal type Lunch
