I didn't expect to be this great. It is the middle of nowhere, but it seems to be a very authentic Mexican restaurant with food. Price is very reasonable with a good portion. Stopped at this small restaurant near Spartanburg. It was fairly busy, but we're able to accommodate our small group. The waitress was very nice and the manager as well. We tried the chmiichangas and enchiladas. The salsa bar is a unique idea and allows everyone to get what they want. We thoroughly enjoyed the food and recommend eating here to anyone passing through. Food was out of this world!!! My first visit wasn’t that great with the tacos but my grandpa wanted to try this place so i gave this place a second chance! Our Waitress Which i had to get her name off a young server who was working a shift with her. Me and My 81 year old grandpa walk in and patiently wait to be seated. But my grandpa decided to walk towards the restroom and this prune of a waitress Yelled “You need to wait to be seated!!” in a aggressive tone. : Now i understand it’s a restaurant you’re busy during Lunch rush hour but that kind of attitude is unnecessary. The whole time we were there i kept overhearing The waitress grope and complain about how busy she was and very impatient with Us i had to keep asking the other waiter (who was very pleasant and nice to us) for Necessities Such as The bill, Togobox, Silverware , Etc. I don’t know if she was having a bad day or Just has a poor attitude all around But She needs to be gone IMMEDIATELY SHE IS RUINING YOUR RESTAURANTS NAME!!! Was able to go to El Chingon Mexican in Cowpens on Saturday. 9/10 rating for me! The food came really fast! Hubby had the shrimp street tacos 10/10, the steak burrito 10/10, my chimichanga steak/chicken was 10/10. The Food was delicious and full of flavor! Room for improvement was minor things, major was the food was not a hot as it should have been coming out as quickly as it did. 2nd was napkins, we had to ask multiple times, first she gave us only 2, in her defense she was new and learning the ropes as a server, so she was flustered by the amount of people that came in after us. Not a single empty table after 10ish minutes of be sitting down. Hands down recommend going! As kinks are worked out with any new openings most likely will be 10/10. We enjoyed a delicious Valentine’s special here! It was our first time going and we weren’t disappointed! Our server was pleasant, food was hot and tasty, prices are reasonable, portions were large and the atmosphere was happy! First time here. Service was really bad, it wasn’t very busy and it took forever to get chips and drinks. Now it’s time to order, I ordered 2 street tacos and my son did the same. His came and 1 of mine came with the girl claiming they are still cooking the other. Why would you bring out half of my foot order anyway? After several minutes my other street taco hath arrived. I had a beer and a glass of water. Never was even asked if I wanted another. As a matter of fact the server acted like our table wasn’t even there. Now it’s time to pay the bill which I had to go and get myself. The prices were reasonable or so I thought. They charged me $.50 cents for the effing water. Needles to say BAD service OK food and paying for 1 cup of water I will NEVER go back there. DINE AT YOUR OWN RISK. Food and seating area is top notch!!! Service however sucks The old lady with glasses and young blonde haired girl both have personality’s of a paper thin drywall and look miserable to be there. Service did not make me feel welcomed and won’t be back and advise others to do the same. GO TO SPARTANBURG TO EAT MEXICAN IF YOU WANT GOOD SERVICE. Terrible Terrible Acp!!! Didn’t even taste real and what you served tasted like rubber from a blown tire, the meat didn’t even taste real and to be $15 i could not believe it this place is nothing but just a joke!!! serving what it seems to be artificial foods with additives.
