El Reducto, located in the heart of Tetouan, offers a delightful Moroccan and Andalusian cuisine experience. The establishment's traditional decor and stunning tiled riad create an ambiance that transports diners to a bygone era. The interior design is simply breathtaking, with lavish and spacious rooms that are Moroccan in flavor and well-maintained. The price range is reasonable, and the restaurant accepts credit cards, making it an excellent choice for those seeking fine dining at a good price. El Reducto's menu boasts vegan options, including a delicious falafel and salads, as well as Moroccan specialties like couscous, tajine, and pastilla. The lamb tajine with eggplant and honey is a must-try, as is the haddock in salsa mojon. The establishment also serves wine and beer, making it one of the few places in Morocco where patrons can enjoy a drink with their meal. The local Moroccan wine pairs perfectly with the flavorful dishes on the menu. For dessert, the chocolate cake and lemon cream are both excellent choices. One of the special features of El Reducto is its rooftop terrace, which offers a stunning view of the city and is licensed to serve alcohol. It's an ideal spot to enjoy a late-night drink or coffee after dinner. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the service is top-notch. Overall, El Reducto is a wonderful place to dine, offering a unique and authentic Moroccan experience that is sure to delight any food lover.

This review is for the restaurant only. I sat on the rooftop terrace. The views were very nice. I ordered lamb couscous. It was very good although the lamb was rather fatty. Service was excellent. The restaurant is quite a ways up the passage from the square.
This must be the best restaurant in Tetouan? We were in town for a week, with two other lots of friends, and they felt the same. We tried three other highly reviewed Tetouan restaurants for breakfast and dinner, so I feel this is a fair comparison. The personable and professional service was impeccable. The food and wine excellent and the portions were large. (Note that wine can be purchased here). The free olives and bread etc with breakfast and dinner were generous. I have been travelling and dining around the world for many years, including where I live in Melbourne, Australia (considered by many to be one of the restaurant capitals of the world), and this is one of the best I have been to. This is why we returned several times during the week.
We didn't stay here we just had lunch here. I would say the food was pretty quick and pretty nice. I really likes the goat cheese salad.

One of the few places in the Medina serving food and drink (including alcohol) during the day during Ramadan. Great views, delicious reasonably priced menu, and friendly service. You can eat on various levels of the building for different views and atmospheres (and to avoid steps if you stay downstairs). Great restaurant very ornate surroundings in a historic market area
Wonderful Riad, excellent cleanliness and gastronomy... the best in the area, exquisite decoration, a large suite room and very friendly and professional staff. Without hesitation we will enjoy it again on a next trip to Tetouan... thank you.
Great restaurant to eat at if you’re passing by Tétouan! 😍 the places that you need to walk by to reach it are also interesting 📸 Food tasted nice, staff were friendly, vibes were authentic with the addition of some Spanish music. Lovely luxurious hotel. Rooms were quite small but really beautifully decorated and with all mod cons and very comfortable. Good value for money. Staff were very helpful. Restaurant was good, we had breakfast lunch and dinner here and it was all pretty good. Tetouan is not a massive hitter in terms of tourist attractions but it's an interesting city and I'd come back again just to stay at el reducto ❤️
Two options: all the good reviews are written by family members and friends, or all the customers are so wasted - because this place is one of the only ones that serve alcohol - that their tastebuds doesn’t function anymore. We had the worst couscous of our life, it was really mushy and didn’t have any taste to it. The chicken was super dry. The sauce on my grilled chicken was awful too. Prices are super super high! AVOID! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner
Discrimination and Neocolonialism at its finest! I've been visiting Reducto for over 3 years. The place is beautifully decorated, has a fantastic view, and attracts several customers. Yet, now, I can say that I'm done with the discriminatory policy they are adopting. The 1st incident happened when I visited along with 2 of my girl friends and we picked a spot to sit in. The waiter came to us and said that we cannot sit there unless if we were to drink alcohol. Otherwise, we should sit in the terrasse which is usually too sunny or too windy. That was such a lame act but I went there again with my foreigner friend who wanted to drink alcohol on the night of a "Muslim Celebration". We were 3 and the moment we sat foot in the place we've been having glances from all the staff: the owner, the waiter, the receptionist, and the security. Once we sat and delivered our order which included a glass of alcohol for our friend the owner started exchanging glances with the waiter who came finally saying that we cannot have alcohol because we spoke Arabic. We have clarified that the alcohol was for our foreigner friend but since she was brownish with black hair that wasn't enough indicator for them. Even the other customers started staring at us out of the awkwardness of the situation. I cannot tolerate such discrimination based on color, race, religion, or any other factor. I'm done with this place, and the absurd treatment they have for the people of the country.
