Their food is still really good, but the service got so much worse.
Truly delicious food here. No complaints about that.
But the service is a whole other story. It used to be really good, but it's gotten worse as it got more famous.
We arrived early, around 5. But as time went by and more people showed up, we saw tables that had arrived later getting their food before us.
Our waiter tried his best to keep us in a good mood, but a whole 1 HOUR and 30 minutes went without anything.
We got up to leave, and they brought in the food just as we were leaving, just to make us pay for the food that was already late.
This is poor service, I really cannot recommend it anymore. 1 hour and 30 minutes is absurd. Made even more inexcusable when other people were getting their foods (and No, they hadn't ordered on the phone, because they sat and were handed menus and ordered, I saw clearly).
Worst part is that this has been happening for some time now.
On our last 2 visits we waited a lot, and saw other people that came in earlier get their food later.
It's a shame. They used to be one of my favorite restaurants. But the service needs a whole rework.
Would lower it to 2 stars if not for our excellent waiter who did everything in his power to try to speed up our food, and for their originally good service years ago.
Overall, you can visit for the good dining and decent atmosphere, but if it's too full, don't bother cause the service takes a massive hit and you could be as disappointed as I was.

The mofungo is amazing here! We also got the fried cheese and fried pork and everything was delicious. They have bilingual waiters, great for tourists.
I did feel like some of the food was fairly pricey, but still an overall great experience

Pollo Mofongo Arroz Y Habichuelas
I ordered a stuffed mofongo with churrasco, it was good except for the mushroom cream. It was too much cream, it was more a mushroom soup with pieces of meat and mofongo smear against the bowl. Don't get me wrong, it tasted good but please take this into consideration. Will go back.

Service was poor and could be compare to McDonald’s. The atmosphere was small and waiters were beyond rude. My mother was also burnt in the process as they did not inform her that her plate was hot. When we told the waiter about the burn she said that she did said it and said well do you want ice. Was never one to say sorry and then proceeded to neglect our table. Food was decent but the atmosphere and service was treacherous.

Excellent food and service provided by Jeffrey. We’ve been to this restaurant many times and Jeffrey has always been super pleasant and helpful. However; today Saturday 11/4/23 there was a helper “waitress” by the name of Karina that literarily slammed the plate of food on the table and Jeffrey had to hold it otherwise it was going to fall on the floor. She turned around and slammed the door behind her. Because of people like Karina is why a lot of business get bad reputation. BOTTOM LINE: Food was a great and service by Jeffrey as well. Karina needs additional training.

Churrasco Con Mofongo
This was my first time visiting with my wife and kids (adults). I had gone to their previous location, some years back. We were seated quickly and given time to look at the menu. The server was excellent. He seated, brought us bread, and served us the wine we selected, which was a tasty cabernet savignon. I asked for a small bowl of French onion soup. It was so delicious. For the entrée, I ordered a stuffed chicken breast with bacon and cheese. My family ordered steaks, medium cooked. The food did not take long, and it was served piping hot, as it should be. We all loved the meals. The flavor was just right, and the steaks were served on a hot cast iron plate. We ate everything! Then we ordered flan and fried cheese cake to share. We had a great experience, and they also had nice jazzy background music. The price was reasonable. I highly recommend this place.

T Bone Steak Con Salsa Zetas
Being gringos with 4 kids, we were sat far out of sight of the other guests. It was freezing and definitely not fancy, though we still spent a fancy amount of money. The food was delicious though!

Pepper Steak Fries
The wait was pretty long for a pretty empty restaurant but that was anticipated a bit. They were very nice however. The ensalada de pulpo (octopus salad) was so good! The small filet mignon was super filling and took half to go.
