The food at this place was exquisite. I ordered an “elephant’s ear”, it was basically breaded beef flank steak. I was something! Everything that I ordered was delicious; from the entry plate, to the desert!
Only thing I did not like was the server that was attending us. He was very short in conversation and rarely came around to check on us. I believe I would have ordered more food items, had he been more attentive. An example is that I asked him for the menu of the wine and never gave it to me. I asked him for beers and he only told me of National beers, a list of 4 beers. I was walking to the restroom and I noticed a wide selection of artesian beers in the fridge.
We had a great time in this restaurant. The waiters were great and very helpful in choosing dishes. The portions were quite big and the food delicious. I loved the Aztecan soup, and absolutely adored the little tamales in suisse sauce. Also, the fresh tangerine juice was amazing... Couldn't stop drinking once I got it. All in all a great food and ambiance experience.
Hotel was nice, staff awesome. Rooms basic but nice. Great atrium! Nice restaurant, great staff. Shout-out to Felix, who is crazy and amazing. Was there as part of a tour, dinner was pre-ordered. Was not to my liking, but some of the others loved it. I would have been much happier seeing a menu and being able to choose. Had breakfast there the next, scrambled eggs with cheese on nopal with salsa verde. Decent, though a bit too tangy for my tastes for breakfast. Nice room to eat in, nice people. I'd go again if I were in Mineral del Chico again.

It seemed to have some sort of authencity to it. Note that I am a foreigner and hence my understanding of what authentic is, might be way off. I am not sure of the name of the dish i ordered, but it tasted good - it was like a thick soup, with some tortillas with stuffings soaking in with cheese and avocado sprinkled on top. It tastes good. I also had their lechero. It was fantastic too. The upstairs seating was closed. I am wondering if upstairs you get a virw of the mountains - would be gorgeous. Also note that this is at an altitude of roughly 9000 ft. I also found the price to be very decent. For example, I would have paid atleast 3 or 4 times in CDMX, for what I paid here.
This was an amazing restaurant in a really cool city. Great food at fantastic prices. Pastes were delicious and other authentic Mexican food was superb. Very affordable if you have the chance to visit.
Well i speak a little bit of spanish, so yeah this restuarant has a lot of variety of really good, cultural foods, and the presentation and the taste is spot on! And everything there is clean too! Thats why i give this a 5 star!
Great place!!! The food is delicious and is not expensive at all!!! Try the Enchiladas Mineras, are the best!!!
Also the coffee is really good, you have to try it with all the variety of sweet bread and other sweets.
Simply exquisite!!
